Ordinary people do not prioritize everything and do things step by step. Work A, Work B, and Work C are all different in difficulty, urgency, and value, and cannot be arranged and executed rigidly in order. People have times of high efficiency and low efficiency. When they are efficient, they should do things of high value, and when they are inefficient, they should do things of low value.

Task division is a method system that uses different principles and methods to treat and handle tasks according to the nature of various tasks. Because different tasks have different characteristics, different methods are required to handle tasks of different characteristics.

How to divide and handle tasks specifically?

The Four Quadrants of Time

Things can be divided into four situations according to their importance and urgency, namely important and urgent, important but not urgent, urgent but not important, and not urgent but not important. Any thing can be placed in one of the quadrants.

After things are placed in the quadrants, how do you do them specifically?

Four-quadrant task processing principles:

(1) Important and urgent: do it immediately;

(2) Important but not urgent: do it quickly when there is no urgent matter;

(3) Urgent but not important: do it after the important and urgent matters;

(4) Not urgent and not important: do it when you have time, or even not do it at all.

Many people do not prioritize their work and do it according to their mood. This leads to many people focusing on work, wasting time on things that do not need to be done, not doing many things that need to be done immediately, and not doing many important but not urgent things that are very helpful to you. For example, learning foreign trade skills, studying customer background and customer profile, these things seem not urgent, and in the short term, it seems that if you do not do them, it will not have any impact on you, and you will still get your salary, but in the long run, it will have a great impact on your career development. If you do not learn and improve for a long time, you will soon be eliminated from the workplace.

The four-quadrant rule of time is very simple and easy to implement. As long as you have a piece of white paper, draw two straight lines, and list the tasks, you can implement it.
