Market research firm Similar Web studied the e-commerce websites frequently visited by American consumers in the first quarter of 2018. The company found that when American consumers buy general products, the first choice of website is Amazon, followed by eBay and Walmart. Similar Web’s research covers both PC and mobile traffic. The data shows that 58% of e-commerce traffic comes from mobile, of which walmart.com and Wish.com have the largest mobile e-commerce traffic, at 64% and 81% respectively. According to Similar Web’s survey, the following are the top ten e-commerce websites most popular with American consumers.

Sears has an average monthly traffic of 26.1 million, accounting for 0.8% of the total traffic share.
(2) No. 9: Wish
The average monthly traffic of the Wish platform is 38.7 million, accounting for 1.1% of the total traffic share.
(3) No. 8: Kohl’s
Kohl’s e-commerce website has an average monthly traffic of 40.4 million, accounting for 1.2% of the total traffic.
(4) No. 7: Costco
Costco’s website has an average monthly traffic of 42.1 million, accounting for 1.2% of the total traffic.
(5) No. 6: AliExpress
AliExpress ranks sixth among the most popular e-commerce websites in the United States, with an average monthly traffic of 43.3 million, accounting for 1.3% of the traffic.
(6) No. 5: Target
Target platform has an average monthly traffic of 117.4 million, accounting for 3.4% of the traffic.
(7) No. 4: Etsy
The handmade e-commerce platform Etsy has an average monthly traffic of 120.4 million, accounting for 3.5% of the traffic.
(8) No. 3: Walmart
The average monthly traffic of Walmart’s e-commerce website is 339 million, accounting for 9.8% of the traffic share.

eBay’s average monthly traffic is 817.6 million, accounting for 23.6% of the traffic share.

Amazon ranks first among the top ten most popular websites in the United States. The website has an average monthly traffic of 1.78 billion, accounting for 54.1% of the traffic share.
