The mainstream classification of e-commerce is based on the nature of the entity conducting e-commerce, that is, it is divided into B2B, B2C, C2C, B2G, C2G and other types of e-commerce. At present, when conducting e-commerce transactions, customers usually choose to use different online payment methods according to the type of e-commerce they are conducting. Taking into account the strength of these different types of e-commerce entities, the size of capital flow, general payment habits and other factors, the current online payment methods can be divided into two categories according to the nature of the entity conducting e-commerce: B2C type online payment methods and B2B type online payment methods.
(1) B2C type online payment methods. This is the online payment method used when enterprises and individuals, government departments and individuals, and individuals conduct online transactions, such as credit card online payment, IC card online payment, electronic cash payment, electronic wallet payment, and personal online bank payment. This payment method is suitable for online transaction payments of not large amounts. It is more convenient and flexible to use, simpler to implement, and has low risks.
(2) B2B type online payment methods. This is an online payment method used by enterprises and government departments for online transactions, such as electronic check online payment, electronic remittance system, international electronic payment system SWIFT and CHIPS, China National Advanced Payment System (CNAPS), financial EDI and corporate online banking services. This payment method is suitable for payment and settlement of large online transactions.
