1) Bill of Exchange

The name and address of the payee of the bill of exchange must be correct; the amount on the bill of exchange must be consistent in uppercase and lowercase; the payment period must comply with the provisions of the letter of credit or contract (under non-letter of credit payment conditions); the bill of exchange amount cannot exceed the letter of credit amount. If there is “approximately” before the letter of credit amount, it can be increased or decreased by 10%; the drawer, payee and payee must all comply with the provisions of the letter of credit or contract (under non-letter of credit payment conditions); the currency name should be consistent with that on the letter of credit and invoice; the terms of issuance must be correct, such as the letter of credit or contract number on which the bill is based must be correct, and endorsements must be made as required; the bill of exchange must be signed by the drawer; the number of bills of exchange must be correct, such as “only one” or “two copies of the bill of exchange, the first bill of exchange and the second bill of exchange”.

2) Commercial invoice

The payee must comply with the provisions of the letter of credit; the issuer must be the beneficiary; the description of the goods must fully comply with the requirements of the letter of credit; the quantity of the goods must comply with the provisions of the letter of credit; the unit price and price conditions must comply with the provisions of the letter of credit; the number of originals and copies submitted must comply with the requirements of the letter of credit; the contents required to be stated and proved by the letter of credit shall not be omitted; the amount of the invoice shall not exceed the amount of the letter of credit. If there is “approximately” before the quantity and amount, it can be increased or decreased by 10%.

3) Insurance documents

Insurance documents must be issued by the insurance company or its agent; the premium must comply with the provisions of the letter of credit; the types of insurance must comply with the provisions of the letter of credit and be complete; the type of insurance document should be consistent with the requirements of the letter of credit. Unless otherwise stipulated in the letter of credit, the bank will not accept the temporary insurance policy issued by the insurance broker; the number of originals and copies of the insurance document should be complete. If the insurance document indicates that multiple originals are issued, all originals must be submitted unless otherwise stipulated in the letter of credit; the currency on the insurance document should be consistent with the currency on the letter of credit, and the number of packages, marks, etc. must be consistent with the invoice and other documents; the means of transport, place of departure and destination must be consistent with the letter of credit and other documents. If there is transshipment, the insurance period must include the entire transportation; unless otherwise stipulated in the letter of credit, the issuance date of the insurance policy shall not be later than the issuance date of the transport document; unless otherwise stipulated in the letter of credit, the insurance document should generally be made in a transferable form, with the beneficiary as the insured and endorsed by the insured.

4) Transport documents

The type of transport documents must comply with the provisions of the letter of credit; the place of departure, transit place and destination must comply with the provisions of the letter of credit; the date of shipment and the date of issuance must comply with the provisions of the letter of credit; the consignee and the notify party must comply with the provisions of the letter of credit; the name of the commodity may use the general term for the goods, but it shall not conflict with the description of the goods on the invoice; the freight prepaid or freight payable must be correctly indicated; the number of original and duplicate copies shall comply with the requirements of the letter of credit; there should be no adverse comments on the transport documents; the number of packages must be consistent with other documents; the marks must be consistent with other documents; the full set of originals must be stamped with the carrier’s seal and the date of issue stamp; the transport documents that need to be endorsed must be endorsed.
