Cross-border e-commerce third-party payment process
The following is the specific process of cross-border e-commerce third-party payment.
(1) Online consumers browse the merchant search web page and select the corresponding products, place an order to complete the transaction.
(2) On the pop-up payment page, the online consumer selects a specific third-party payment platform, directly links to its secure payment server, selects the appropriate payment method on the third-party payment page, and clicks to enter the bank payment page to make payment.
(3) The third-party payment platform transmits the payment information of the online consumer to the relevant bank in accordance with the technical requirements of the payment gateway of each bank.
(4) The relevant bank (UnionPay) checks the payment ability of the online consumer, freezes, deducts or transfers the payment, and sends the result information back to the third-party payment platform and the online consumer.
(5) The third-party payment platform notifies the merchant of the payment result.
(6) After receiving the notification of successful payment, the merchant ships goods or provides services to the online consumer.
(7) Each bank settles with the merchant through the third-party payment platform.
