(1) The size of the packaging box is important

A box that is too large will result in higher shipping costs and waste of fillers, while a box of the right size can reduce the collision between the product and the box. Choose the right box and try to pack the product in different ways.

Use a sturdy cardboard box to pack the product. Check whether the weight limit is exceeded after packing. Fill the gaps with fillers such as waste paper, polystyrene, or cardboard to fix the product and avoid collision of the product in the box due to movement during transportation. The gaps in the box need to be filled with fillers to the edge of the top of the box to ensure that the product will not move due to shaking. Before sealing the box, put a piece of thick cardboard on the top of the box and leave enough space to seal the box.

(2) Choose good quality packaging materials

When packing, choose packaging materials according to the characteristics of different products. For example, clothing products generally do not have the problem of being crushed, so as long as they are waterproof, they can be packaged in express bags or bubble bags; while footwear products must take anti-pressure and waterproof measures, so they are mostly packaged in boxes, with some bubble film or foam to prevent pressure; small accessories are fragile products, so it is best to package them in boxes. Compared with polystyrene, which can only withstand a single impact, polyethylene and polyurethane materials have relatively higher strength. Because these materials are not only thin and strong, but also consume less to achieve a better packaging effect, you can choose a smaller box to pack, and you can also save shipping costs.

Fragile products are generally packaged with polystyrene filling particles or bubble paper, and double-layer packaging can be used when necessary. If two products are packed in one box at the same time, be sure to add filling foam in the middle of the product after packaging to avoid collision during movement. Finally, be sure to mark the outside of the box with the “fragile” mark.

(3) Packaging to suit holiday marketing

For everyone, receiving damaged products is a very frustrating thing, especially for holidays or birthday gifts, which is even more difficult for buyers to accept. In different holiday marketing, sellers should not only pay more attention to the timely delivery of products, but also ensure that the products received by buyers are intact. Therefore, sellers should spend more time to package the products well and make them more beautiful. These attention to small details will make buyers more satisfied with your service.

(4) Packaging to adapt to various environments

In order to avoid the package from being damaged during transportation, you can design an experiment before packaging to test whether the packaging can adapt to any possible harsh environment, such as temperature difference and humidity conditions. No matter what kind of product is sent, make sure that the product packaging is good and waterproof. Otherwise, the address on the package will be contaminated by rain, and the wet package will be heavier, so that the buyer will have to pay extra overweight fees when receiving the goods, which may cause the store to receive bad reviews.

(5) Reconfirm the address

Confirming the correct shipping address is the most basic and most error-prone step. It is best to add a clear return address on the outer packaging box. The address should be attached to or written directly on the outer packaging box. It is best to use an oil-based pen to write it. If it is written incorrectly, it is easier to detect and correct it. This can also avoid the situation where the address is blurred by rain or the label is wrinkled and the address is not clear.
