1. Affiliate marketing
(1) The concept of affiliate marketing
AliExpress affiliate marketing is a “pay-per-performance” promotion model, that is, sellers participating in affiliate marketing only need to pay affiliate commissions for successful orders brought by affiliate websites. Affiliate marketing brings off-site traffic to stores, and only fees are charged for successful transactions. After joining the AliExpress Alliance, in addition to being exposed in existing channels, products will receive additional exposure in AliExpress’s exclusive affiliate channels within the site, and will receive massive amounts of affiliate traffic outside the site. Sellers participating in affiliate marketing do not need to pay any fees in advance, and the promotion process is completely free. They only need to pay affiliate commissions for successful orders brought by affiliate websites.
(2) Joining and exiting affiliate marketing
Click “Marketing Activities – Alliance Dashboard” on the seller’s backend homepage to enter the “Join the Affiliate Program” interface. Select the “I have read and agreed to this agreement” checkbox and click “Next” to set up affiliate marketing.
After entering the affiliate commission setting interface, set the default commission rate, and then click the “Join the Affiliate Program” button to officially join the affiliate marketing. At this point, the seller’s entire store products have become affiliate marketing products, and all products are set according to the store’s unified commission rate. Under the premise that the profit margin allows, it is recommended that sellers increase the commission rate to achieve the best marketing effect.
After joining the affiliate marketing for 15 days, the seller can withdraw. Although the orders created after the withdrawal will no longer be charged affiliate commissions, the affiliate orders created before the seller’s withdrawal, even if these transactions are not completed, will still be charged according to the original commission rate set by the affiliate marketing after the order is completed. It should be noted that the seller cannot join the affiliate marketing again within 15 days after the withdrawal. The promotion link clicked by the buyer will continue to be valid for the buyer within 15 days. If the order transaction is completed, the commission will still be calculated and deducted from the seller.

2. Other off-site marketing
Sellers can conduct off-site marketing through other channels, such as social networking sites, theme forums, etc. For example, sellers who operate outdoor and fishing gear categories can publish activities, organize group purchases and issue coupons on various targeted platforms such as fishing clubs, mountain clubs, and travel clubs to achieve the purpose of off-site marketing and traffic diversion. The effect of this method requires long-term accumulation and more energy.
