Open the “Wish Merchant Platform” website, enter the merchant account and password, and click the “Login” button to enter the Wish Merchant Platform.
(1) Basic Information
Basic information refers to the basic information that merchants fill in when registering and opening a store, including merchant D, account manager, user name, email address, name and surname of the legal person for revenue sharing, etc. Currently, only the name and surname can be modified in the basic information, and other information cannot be modified.
(2) Display Settings
Display settings include store name and store picture. Currently, only store pictures can be modified. Display Name is the store name filled in when registering, and cannot be modified in this step. After completing the update, click the “Update” button.
(3) Express Preferences
Express Preferences is the configuration of online delivery for the logistics express service providers that Wish prefers to use, currently including Wish Post, China Post Express, and Yanwen Logistics.
If the corresponding logistics and express delivery service provider is enabled, the electronic waybills supported by the logistics service provider will appear first in the order processing. When processing orders, merchants can select the corresponding electronic waybills according to their needs, generate waybills and ship them, which is convenient and fast.
(4) Two-step verification
Two-step verification is to verify the security of the current key operations by adding a step of sending a mobile phone verification code again when merchants perform key operations such as logging in to accounts, logging in from other locations, setting up payment, and setting up delivery, thereby reducing the risk of account theft. Two-step verification is an additional means of protecting account security and can ensure that merchants’ accounts are logged in in a safe environment. When merchants need to log in on a new device, they must send two verification codes to their mobile phones for verification. If someone steals the merchant’s password, they will not be able to log in to their account without the verification code.
(5) New device management settings
New devices record and manage all devices that have used their own accounts to log in to the merchant backend. The records include information such as login time, IP address, and login location.
(6) Email Preferences
Email preferences refer to the configuration management of notifications generated for various key operations on the merchant platform. Notification types include orders, payment product management, after-sales service, payment, intellectual property, etc.
For unwanted notification types, merchants can uncheck them and click the “Update” button. If all notifications are not wanted, select the “Don’t send me these emails again” option and click the “Update” button.
(7) Vacation Mode
Vacation mode is a one-click vacation mode set by Wish for merchant stores. During the vacation mode, all products in the store will not be sold.
The vacation mode must be enabled at least 48 hours in advance, because new orders may still be reviewed within 8 hours of enabling the vacation mode, so this operation can ensure that sellers can properly fulfill the orders under review before the holiday.
(8) API Settings
API Settings refer to the management of the authorization of third-party applications that access the Wish merchant platform through the API, including operations such as release, creation, update, and deletion. Third-party applications generally refer to ERP systems, distribution platform systems, logistics service provider systems, etc., which are mainly used to assist in the processing of products, orders, customer issues, etc. on the Wish merchant platform.
Authorized applications include two situations: one is directly authorized, that is, Wish itself has officially authenticated the third-party application and connected to the API, and can directly authorize and support it. There is no need to create an authorized application. You can directly set up authorization on the third-party authorized application. The other is to create authorization, that is, there is no direct authorization support from the Wish official setting method. If you want to perform mutual authorization, you need to first create an authorized application on the Wish merchant platform, and then set up authorization on the third-party application. It should be noted that this type of authorized application can only be created once at present.
