Whether a social networking site can attract users to use it for a long time, the number and quality of friends is a very important indicator. Facebook is currently the largest social networking site in the world. It goes without saying that there are many users, but how to easily find each user’s friends and potential friends with common interests is a big challenge. The Facebook platform has been investing a lot of technology, working hard to improve algorithms and enhance user experience. At present, finding friends on Facebook is actually very simple and efficient.

Generally speaking, as long as you fill in the relevant account information, such as high school information, university information, or companies you have worked for and cities you are in, Facebook will automatically recommend us friends you may know based on these information. Facebook does a very good job in this regard. We can often see that most of the friends recommended by Facebook are real friends we already know.

Now go back to the Facebook homepage. There are two places in the top navigation bar where you can reach the friend search page. One is next to the Home link, and the other is in the drop-down list of two black people icons to reach the friend search page.

Click the “Search Friends” link in the navigation bar to enter the friend search page. On this page, on the left are friend requests sent by other users. We can click the “Confirm” button to accept or click the “Delete Request” button to reject the other party’s application. On the lower left are the friends that the Facebook platform automatically recommends based on the information we fill in and related interests and hobbies. There is an “Add as Friend” button on the right of each friend. We can directly click this button to send a friend request, which is very convenient. Of course, if you don’t like the friends recommended by the platform, you can directly remove them so that they won’t appear again next time.

There is a function to add friends in batches through external platform accounts on the upper right. This function is very practical. If we have contact list information stored in other mailboxes, we can quickly find which friends are also on Facebook. The external platforms it supports are:

Apple iCloud

Google Gmail

Outlook.com (Hotmail )

Yahoo! Mail

Windows Live Messager

Other mailboxes
