Siena Horse Racing Festival
The Horse Racing Festival is also one of the most important festivals in the hearts of the Italian people. This festival was founded in the 11th century AD, and some other data believe that it began in 1200 AD. At the beginning, it was just a sacrificial activity to commemorate the city’s protection of the Virgin Mary. The rules of horse racing were not determined until 1729, forming the current model.
On the day of the horse racing, the Italian people dressed up and tourists from all over the world filled the shell-shaped Capo Square completely. The city of Siena is divided into 17 blocks, each with a district flag. Each block takes turns to participate in the competition, and the knights from all directions will fight for their own blocks, and the scene is grand.
The main activities of this festival are the viewing of large-scale horse racing events and related celebrations, so the holiday consumption tends to be mainly telescopes, colorful flags, decorations, horse racing-shaped crafts and other products.
Italians love vacations, and launching special travel products during holidays, such as travel sets, suitcases, camping tents, etc., will be very popular.
