The internationalization of intellectual property law is a basic demand and important guarantee for the development of the current knowledge economy. The international protection rules of intellectual property are determined by the nature of the operation of the globalization of the knowledge economy, and the globalization of the knowledge economy also inevitably means respecting and protecting intellectual property. With the development and progress of my country’s economy and society, the internationalization of intellectual property law is no longer an “entry ticket” for my country to participate in international market competition, but has become a “protective umbrella” for Chinese products and Chinese culture to “go global”.

In other words, the internationalization of my country’s intellectual property law has gradually begun to transform into the “Sinicization” of international intellectual property rules. For a long time in the past, my country did not have formal and legal representation in relevant international organizations on intellectual property. In the negotiation and signing of treaties or agreements related to intellectual property, it only had the status of an observer and could not directly participate in the formulation of international intellectual property rules.

After long-term efforts, my country now has the legal representation of intellectual property rights, and has the channels to directly participate in the formulation of relevant intellectual property rules, and is able to express its own interests and needs in the process of promoting the internationalization of intellectual property rights. In order to adapt to the new trend of regional economic integration and build a new system for international protection of intellectual property rights, my country has put forward the “Belt and Road” initiative to encourage Chinese creations and Chinese brands to go abroad and move towards key areas and market frontiers of international economic and trade competition. In addition, my country has put forward the “Belt and Road” initiative to promote the institutional creation and harmonious development of regional economic integration. The intellectual property system must follow up and provide guarantees, and then strive to build a more fair and reasonable new order for international protection of intellectual property rights and realize institutional innovation for regional and urban integration of intellectual property rights.

Therefore, it can be said that the future internationalization trend of my country’s intellectual property law is to be based on local national conditions, actively promote the establishment of a new order for international protection of intellectual property rights, and take the new international development of intellectual property law as the main direction, participate in global competition, enhance comprehensive national strength, and lay the foundation for the realization of the “Chinese Dream” of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
