On September 19, 2014, Alibaba was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. At the same time, Alibaba announced the company’s three core directions in the future: rural e-commerce, big data and cross-border e-commerce. After Alibaba went public, I once discussed a very interesting topic with a senior media person: “What kind of company is Alibaba?” How to define this super-large company? In the end, our conclusion is that Alibaba is essentially a big data company. The reason why we define Alibaba as a big data company is that we believe that the business foundation of the future world is big data, and the future business competition is essentially a big data game!

Everyone is no stranger to data, because the operation process of e-commerce is essentially the process of data processing and follow-up. With the continuous development of B-type e-commerce, e-commerce platforms represented by Alibaba have also been doing a lot of exploration and experimentation in the value of data, from the most original verification of the real business information of enterprises to the establishment of a global small and medium-sized enterprise integrity data system, from the simple transmission of business information to the current integration of supply chain, cross-border logistics, financial payment, and the full transaction chain of talent enterprise growth. The value of big data is increasingly becoming the core factor for the successful operation of small and medium-sized enterprises.
