DHL was founded in San Francisco in 1969 by three entrepreneurs, Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom and Robert Lynn. The company has continued to develop at an astonishing speed to become a global leader in the international express and logistics industry. DHL’s global network has connected more than 200 countries and regions in the world, with more than 380,000 employees. DHL provides excellent professional services in the fields of air, sea, land transportation, as well as express delivery, contract logistics solutions, international (inter-regional) mail, etc.

Sinotrans-DHL International Air Express Co., Ltd. was established in June 1986, a joint venture between Sinotrans (which invested its equity in Sinotrans-DHL International Air Express Co., Ltd. in 1999) and the world-renowned multinational express group DHL International Co., Ltd. (DHL International Co., Ltd. was later acquired by Deutsche Post International Co., Ltd.), with each party holding 50% of the equity. DHL-Sinotrans is an important part of DHL’s global service network. It has established 73 branches and 88 express centers in municipalities, special economic zones, and major provincial capitals in China. Its service network covers 318 cities across the country. It mainly operates domestic and cross-border express delivery (excluding private letters).

In March 2012, DHL-Sinotrans and AliExpress joined forces to launch a high-quality service, DHL Express online delivery, to fully support AliExpress sellers and improve the quality of logistics services.

DHL’s delivery network covers more than 200 countries and regions in the world. The website updates the status of goods in a relatively timely manner. It provides packaging inspection and design, customs declaration agency services, and has strong customs clearance capabilities in the United States and Europe. DHL Express handles millions of customs declaration documents every day, making it one of the largest customs brokers in the world. DHL combines local professional experience in various countries (regions) to fully understand the customs supervision rules of different countries (regions) and ensure customs clearance speed.

1. Rates

DHL online delivery enjoys the agreed freight rates between AliExpress and DHL. The specific rates are subject to the logistics plans of each platform. The rates in the logistics plans only include international transportation rates and fuel surcharges (updated monthly), excluding customs clearance fees (5.00 yuan/time), warehouse handling fees (2.00 yuan/time), warehouse labeling fees (0.02 yuan/time) and other fees. When using DHL Express for online delivery, the international transportation rate is calculated based on the larger volumetric weight and actual weight. In addition, a packaging fee of 4.00 yuan/time may be required, and some remote areas need to pay a remote area surcharge.

2. Specification restrictions

1X length (cm) + 2x width (cm) + 2X height (cm) ≤ 330 cm, when the single piece weight is ≥ 70 kg or the single side length is ≥ 120 cm, an overweight and overlength surcharge of 260/ticket will be charged, and the maximum single side size is 270 cm. For goods that need to consider the volume, the volume weight is used for calculation, that is, length (cm) x width (cm) x height (cm) / 5000. The online delivery service does not provide waterproof and free throwing services. All packages need to calculate the volume weight. There is a separate bulk price for items over 21 kg. The bulk price in some areas is cheaper than the international EMS.

3. Time limit standard

Under normal circumstances, the delivery time is 3 to 7 days, generally 3 working days to Europe, and generally 2 working days to Southeast Asia.
