The monthly service fees for overseas warehouse storage management provided by different international logistics companies are different, but basically they all include the human warehouse fees, storage fees, outbound fees, and order processing fees incurred by customers when storing in overseas warehouses, handling sharing and local distribution. The following mainly introduces storage fees and order processing fees.

1. Storage fees

Storage fees refer to the fees incurred when storing goods in warehouses after the goods are sent to overseas warehouses. Generally speaking, in order to ensure the sales rate of products, corresponding fees will be charged according to a certain range of practices. For example, on the Amazon platform, storage fees include monthly storage fees and long-term warehouse storage fees.

Amazon’s monthly storage fees will be charged from 7 to 15 days in the second month of opening FBA, and the fees will be charged according to the volume of the goods. From January to September, standard-sized goods are charged at US$0.64 per cubic foot and oversized goods are charged at US$0.43 per cubic foot. From October to December, standard-sized goods are charged at US$2.35 per cubic foot and oversized goods are charged at US$1.15 per cubic foot. The calculation formula for monthly storage fees is: Monthly storage fees = Number of goods that should be charged for 6 months of long-term storage fees X unit volume of goods X storage fees per cubic unit in the corresponding month.

During the peak season from October to December, the storage fee is 3 to 4 times the usual.

Long-term storage fees are charged when the goods are stored in the Amazon FBA warehouse for more than 365 days. Calculated per cubic foot and the minimum long-term storage fee (per piece), the higher of the two fees is charged, with a minimum charge of US$0.15 per piece. The calculation formula for long-term storage is: Long-term storage fees = Number of goods that should be charged for long-term storage fees in the time period X unit volume of goods X storage fees per cubic unit in the corresponding time period.

2. Order processing fees

The order processing fee of overseas warehouses refers to the fees incurred by third-party personnel for picking and packing orders for sellers’ products after buyers place orders on the platform. Usually, order processing fees are charged per piece. For example, the FBA order processing fee (standard items) is $1.00/item in the US, £0.82/item in the UK, and €1.38/item in Germany, France, Italy, and Spain.
