Only by fully understanding the various roles and processes in the BBC model can we better understand the various documents, procedures and relevant regulations in the BBC model customs clearance.
The documents commonly used in BBC import customs clearance include but are not limited to: invoice, packing list, contract, bill of lading/air way bill. Usually, in order to facilitate customs clearance operations, it is also necessary to prepare a detailed list of imported goods.
1. Invoice
Invoice, sometimes called commercial invoice or pro forma invoice, is the most common document in international trade. It is usually issued by the shipper (seller) to the consignee (buyer), mainly reflecting the transaction quantity and amount of goods. Simple invoice style of BBC model.
2. Packing list
The packing list, sometimes referred to as the box list, is also usually issued by the shipper (seller) to the consignee (buyer), mainly reflecting the number of packages, gross weight, net weight and other information of the goods. Simple packing list style of BBC model.
3. Contract
The contract is the basic agreement between the buyer and the seller on the completion of this transaction, reflecting the rights, obligations and responsibilities of both parties. It is a very important document in normal international trade, but in the normal import process of cross-border bonded e-commerce, the requirements are not very strict. The main reason is that the B2B link where the actual transaction takes place is abroad, which has no great impact on the BBC import customs clearance. BBC model import contract style.
4. Bill of lading
Bill of lading, referred to as bill of lading. The English expression of ocean bill of lading is bill of lading; air waybill is divided into main air waybill (MAWB) and house air waybill (HAWB).
The bill of lading is a carriage certificate issued by the carrier (shipping company/airline company) to the consignor (consignor), and it is also a certificate for the consignee to pick up the goods from the carrier. The bill of lading has the meaning of both the entrusted transportation agreement and the meaning of the cargo ownership certificate. It is an extremely important document in international trade. Therefore, the information in the bill of lading is very important. In the special international trade and logistics of cross-border e-commerce, the bill of lading information should pay attention to the following points:
First, the consignee of the ocean bill of lading must be the domestic e-commerce warehouse, and the notify party can be the e-commerce company or the freight forwarding customs clearance company.
Second, the designated warehouse header of the airport must be displayed on the airway bill (otherwise, I don’t know how to distribute it after getting off the plane), and the sub-bill can only show the domestic e-commerce warehouse and the notify party.
Third, if there is only a master bill of lading and no sub-bill for air transport, the master bill must show both the airport warehouse and the e-commerce warehouse.
5. Detailed list of imported goods
The detailed list of imported goods, commonly known as the customs declaration list, is a summary document made for the convenience of customs declaration, as the name suggests, and usually includes the HS code, commodity name, quantity unit, amount currency, weight information, place of origin and declaration elements commonly used in customs declaration. The documents and documents required for BBC import customs clearance will also have new requirements and changes according to the actual commodities. For example, Japanese food imported into China must provide a certificate of origin, New Zealand honey imported into China must provide a certificate, and any dangerous goods declaration must have a dangerous goods declaration form.
