There are three ways to shoot product videos:

① Use a mobile phone to shoot, prepare a tripod, a small slide rail, a handheld stabilizer and other auxiliary equipment to complete the video shooting;

② Use professional photography tools (such as SLR cameras, video cameras, etc.) to shoot, which can obtain better quality videos;

③ Use third-party video generation tools to generate videos. Video shooting includes four processes: understanding product characteristics, preparing props, models and scenes, video shooting, and post-synthesis.

(1) Understanding product characteristics

Before shooting a product video, we need to have a certain understanding of the product to be shot, such as the product’s characteristics, how to use it, and the effect after use. Only after understanding the product can we choose the right model, shooting environment, shooting time, and choose the shooting equipment and lighting according to the size and material of the product. When shooting, focus on showing the characteristics of the product to help buyers understand the product and improve the conversion rate.

(2) Prepare props, models and scenes

After understanding the characteristics of the product, you can prepare props, models and set up the scene to prepare for video shooting. Props: There are many props to choose from for video shooting. The props should be selected appropriately to avoid a cluttered scene. When shooting products indoors, you need to choose a suitable photography light. If you need to explain the product, you need a recording device.

Models: Different products have different requirements for models. Some products do not need models. Models serve the products and may not be able to distinguish between the primary and the secondary.

Scenes: The shooting scenes include indoor scenes and outdoor scenes. Indoor scenes need to consider lighting, background and layout. Outdoor shooting requires choosing a suitable environment to avoid shooting in an environment with complicated people. Whether it is an indoor scene or an outdoor scene, each product needs to be displayed in multiple directions and multiple sets of videos need to be shot for later selection and editing.

(3) Video shooting

After everything is ready, you can start video shooting. In order to maintain the balance of the picture during the shooting process, a tripod is needed, and the shooting is carried out in sequence according to the performance of the product. When shooting, pay attention to showing the full appearance of the product and shoot the product from various angles.

(4) Post-synthesis

After the video is shot, the redundant parts need to be cut off, multiple scenes need to be combined, and subtitles, audio, transitions and special effects need to be added. These operations need to be completed through video editing software. Commonly used video editing software includes VideoStudio, Premiere, etc.
