The freight template is used to set the shipping details of the product, including the courier, shipping time, freight and destination country. By associating the freight template when publishing the product, buyers can see the different times and freight corresponding to different courier services when placing an order. Standardized products that support direct orders from buyers need to configure freight templates, while other types of standardized products do not need to configure freight templates.
The method for setting the freight template is as follows.
(1) Enter the Alibaba International Station backend, click “Transaction Management” → “Freight Template” command in the left menu bar to enter the “Freight Template” page.
(2) Click “Create New Freight Template” → “Confirm” button to enter the “Freight Template” page. Fill in the template name on this page. The default shipping place is “Mainland China”, and enter the shipping place postal code.
(3) Select the logistics service type. Select the appropriate logistics service type according to the category to which the product belongs. One freight template can select multiple logistics service types at the same time. After selecting the freight template, it generally supports multiple shipping locations.
(4) Select the country and region. You can choose to apply to all countries or regions, or to apply to specific countries or regions.
(5) Fill in the freight details, namely the freight type, price adjustment rate, and estimated logistics time. The “Ali Logistics Price” item is selected by default. The price adjustment rate can be set according to the possible deviation between the product and the freight. If you choose your own logistics, it is recommended to set it by weight or quantity, which will be more accurate.
①Ali Logistics Price: Select this type to automatically read the platform express price, which is the agreed price between the platform and each logistics company.
②Price Adjustment Rate: After selecting the “Ali Logistics Price” item, the “Price Adjustment Rate” option will appear. If you choose other methods such as free shipping, negotiation, etc., there will be no “Price Adjustment Rate” option. If you use Ali Logistics to ship, you can control the freight amount by adjusting the price based on overall business considerations. It is generally recommended to increase it to 110%~120%.
③Transaction service fee: Orders over US$5,000 must be shipped through One-stop, and there is no transaction service fee. Orders below US$5,000 are not shipped through One-stop. Standardized commodity transaction orders are charged at different rates based on the logistics channel (Ali Logistics 1%, self-owned logistics 2%).
(6) After setting the above information, click the “Save Freight Template” button to submit, and you can modify it after submission.
