Project Zero has eliminated 6,000 brands and more than 9,000 suspicious products in Europe and the United States. The “Zero Tolerance Project” has once again expanded the anti-counterfeiting plan, reflecting Amazon’s firm determination to combat counterfeit goods. Next, we will share with you Amazon’s “Zero Tolerance” project and how it protects the interests of sellers.
The operating mechanism of Amazon’s Project Zero is as follows:
1. Brand sellers provide the characteristics of their products such as trademarks or LOGOs. Using Amazon’s machine learning technology, the automatic protection mechanism will continuously detect and remove counterfeits on the platform. The platform can scan more than 5 billion listings that need to be updated every day, continuously looking for traces of counterfeits.
2. Automatically remove counterfeits: Brand sellers no longer need to remove counterfeits through Wanmaxun. They have unprecedented authority. They can directly remove counterfeits through Amazon’s self-service tools, and Amazon will automatically protect counterfeits through the information obtained by the tool.
3. Serialization of goods: Brand sellers can apply for a unique barcode for their products participating in the program. Each product entering the warehouse needs to print this barcode, so that Amazon can confirm that the product is authorized by the brand seller by scanning the code when shipping, and unauthorized counterfeits are blocked before they are delivered to the buyer.
The role of Amazon ProjectZero Zero Tolerance Project:
Amazon’s automatic protection function will continuously scan the Amazon website for suspected counterfeit products after obtaining the brand logo, trademark and other key brand-related data provided by the brand.
Amazon provides a unique barcode for each product, and the brand applies the barcode to each product in the production process. When Amazon consumers order these products, Amazon can verify the authenticity by scanning its unique barcode, thereby effectively preventing counterfeit and shoddy goods from entering the hands of consumers. If other merchants follow the sale of related “isting”, once the product is sold, the Amazon system will quickly lock it by serial number and immediately lock the relevant illegal merchants.
After the implementation of the “Zero Tolerance Plan”, brands will be able to search and check websites or merchants on their own to determine whether the Listings or merchants on the Amazon platform infringe their intellectual property rights, without having to easily delete them through Amazon.
