A computer network is generally defined as: a system consisting of multiple computers distributed in different locations and with independent functions, connected by communication equipment and lines, and running with fully functional network software to achieve resource sharing in the network. The computer network that people are most familiar with should be the “Internet”. In addition to the Internet, there are various other forms of networks, but no matter what form, they must follow the above definition of computer networks.
On October 24, 1995, the “Federal Networking Council” (FNC: The Federal Networking Council) passed a resolution on the “Definition of the Internet (Joining the Internet)”, believing that the Internet refers to a global information system.
(1) Each access host is linked together through a globally unique address, which is based on the “Internet Protocol” (IP) or other future protocols.
(2) Communication can be carried out through the “Transmission Control Protocol” and “Internet Protocol” (TCP/IP), or other future successor protocols or protocols compatible with the “Internet Protocol” (IP).
(3) It allows public or private users to use high-level services. This service is based on the above-mentioned communications and related infrastructure.
