Shopee Philippines has issued an important notice on live streaming regulations. According to the content of the notice, sellers who seriously violate Shopee’s live streaming regulations will face the penalty of being banned from broadcasting. In addition to serious violations, the platform will take measures to warn and limit the live streaming traffic for sellers who violate minor violations.
Minor violations:
For minor violations, the focus is on the quality of the live streaming. If the quality of the user’s live streaming is low, they will receive a warning from the platform and be subject to traffic restrictions. Minor violations include but are not limited to poor picture quality, poor sound effects, and poor product display effects.
In terms of poor picture quality, it includes blurred images, poor lighting, camera shake, black screen, slow broadcasting, etc. At the same time, more than half of the screen is blocked by stickers, pictures or animated images, horizontal screen live streaming, and video freezes will also be considered minor violations.
Poor sound effects cover problems such as low sound volume, no sound, excessive noise, and audio distortion. Finally, the product is required to be displayed in the live broadcast for at least 30 seconds, and it must be focused when displayed, without damage, cracks, or stains.
Severe violations:
Severe violations will result in the termination of the live broadcast once confirmed. Such violations include poor live broadcast quality due to technical problems, prohibited items and prohibited content, fraud, etc.
According to the platform regulations, if there is one serious violation per week, the live broadcast will be banned for 3 days; if there are two serious violations, the live broadcast will be banned for 7 days; if there are three serious violations, the live broadcast will be banned for 30 days.
In addition, Shopee Philippines also announced that from October 2, it will directly freeze accounts that repeatedly list banned items. The scope of banned items includes but is not limited to violations of local regulations, violations of Shopee regulations, products used for promotion, products that have been replaced, and products with misleading discounts.
For accounts that have been frozen for repeatedly listing banned items, the platform emphasizes that it is impossible to file an appeal, but accounts frozen for this reason can still withdraw account balances.
Shopee Philippines’ strict implementation of live broadcast regulations is aimed at ensuring a healthy operating environment for the platform and safeguarding the rights and interests of consumers and sellers. We hope that all sellers can comply with relevant regulations, improve the quality of live broadcasts, ensure user experience, and jointly promote the sustainable development of the platform.
