① Duties and taxes. If duties and taxes are imposed on the shipment and FedEx pays these charges, the payer must return the duties and taxes to FedEx and pay the surcharge charged by FedEx based on the type of shipment and its destination.
② Declared Value Surcharge. FedEx’s liability for loss, damage or delay of shipments does not exceed US$20/kg or US$100/piece. The specific limit may be expressed in “Special Drawing Rights (SDR)” or local currency and the specific amount varies from country to country and currency to currency.
If the customer wants FedEx to bear a larger proportion of the actual value of the shipment, the shipment value must be declared on the air waybill and the “Declared Value Surcharge” must be paid. If the declared value of the shipment exceeds the higher of the following: RMB 830 or RMB 75.28 per pound, a “Declared Value Surcharge” will be imposed on export prepaid/import cash on delivery shipments from mainland China, and RMB 9.3 (or percentage) will be added for every additional RMB 830. The declared value of the shipment must not exceed the following limits (may vary depending on the destination of the shipment).

International Priority (IP)/International Economy (E): $0,000 (or equivalent in local currency).
