Sellers can get many benefits by choosing FBA, but not all products are suitable for FBA. The following types of products are not suitable for FBA.

1. Products with too low prices

Products with too low retail prices are not suitable for FBA. Because FBA will charge a corresponding basic fee for each transaction, which increases the seller’s cost to a certain extent. Products with too low prices will not be profitable after deducting the FBA fees.

2. Products that are too large or too heavy

Amazon often adjusts the charges for FBA. Large and overweight products need to pay a lot of fees. If the product is large, heavy, or thrown away, it is not suitable for FBA.

3. Unpopular products

FBA will charge storage fees. Although not high, it is also a considerable expense over time. If some products have been stored for more than 6 months, Amazon will also charge long-term storage fees. Therefore, sellers cannot use Amazon as a warehouse, but still need to put products that can generate sales.

4. Products with strong seasonality

Products with strong seasonality and festival characteristics are not suitable for FBA, because FBA basically prepares inventory by predicting sales. If the seasonality of the product is too strong, it will be difficult to predict sales. If there is less inventory, once it is out of stock, it will have a serious impact on your sales; if there is too much inventory, if the product is unsalable, it is not realistic to keep the product until the next year for sale. Of course, if the seller has strong inventory management capabilities, this point can be ignored.

5. Dangerous goods that are expressly prohibited

Some products may be eligible for sale on Amazon, but not eligible for FBA. Once Amazon discovers such goods, it will not carry out FBA shipment operations for such goods and will return them to the seller. At the same time, Amazon has the right to destroy such goods. The following are the products that are prohibited by Amazon Logistics.

·Any product that cannot be sold and distributed in all U.S. jurisdictions in a legal manner.

·Alcoholic beverages (including non-alcoholic beer).

·Kongming lanterns or water lanterns.

·Auto tires.

·Gift cards, gift certificates and other stored value tools.

· Products with unauthorized marketing materials (such as brochures, price tags, and other non-Amazon stickers).

· Products that are larger than 144 inches (about 366 cm) x 96 inches (about 244 cm) x 96 inches (about 244 cm) or weigh more than 150 pounds (about 68 kg).

· Products that need to be prepared but have not been prepared according to Amazon logistics packaging and requirements.

· Batteries that are loose in the packaging.

· Products that are damaged or defective.

· Products that are not properly registered with Amazon before shipment or the labels do not match the registered products.

· Products that do not comply with any agreement between Amazon and the seller.

· Products that are illegally copied, reproduced, or manufactured.

· Products determined by Amazon to be unsuitable for sale.

In short, not all products are suitable for FBA. For products that are not suitable for FBA, sellers can choose to ship them themselves or ship them from overseas warehouses, which is likely to sell well.
