Recently, some sellers received emails from Amazon’s global logistics team, and the shipping restrictions seem to have an official solution. According to the email, in addition to the lock privilege, Amazon Global Logistics also applies for additional shipments of product ASIN. Sellers can apply for increased storage capacity through two channels: Amazon Global Store Account Manager and Amazon Global Logistics Team Account Manager.

The email said: Apply for store lock permissions and use Amazon Cross-Border Logistics Service (AGL) to deliver your FBA first leg. After the service is activated, you can apply to the Amazon Global Logistics Team Account Manager for additional shipments of product ASIN.

The following is an introduction to the specific situation of increasing storage capacity through AGL.

If the seller wants to apply through the Amazon Global Logistics Account Manager, the store needs to open the “Store Lock Permission” (FCLOCKING) and “Global Shipping Service” (Global Shipping Service) before applying for additional shipments of product ASIN, and no additional fees are required for the application.

The application for additional shipment quantity is submitted with the assistance of the account manager, and the overseas FBA team is responsible for approval. The approved shipment quantity Units are subject to the actual situation, and there is no guarantee that the application will be successful.

The successfully approved additional shipment quantity requires the use of Amazon Cross-Border Logistics (AGL) for delivery, that is, using Amazon’s “Global Delivery Service” to place an order and book a space.

The Amazon logistics manager said that the approval depends on the seller’s ASIN quality, IPI score, and whether there is a deal reported recently. The shipment quantity that can be applied for is uncertain and will be approved by the overseas FBA team. It also depends on the actual storage capacity of the FBA warehouse, and comprehensive considerations are made from many aspects. The minimum IPI score must reach 400 points, and 500 points or more is best.

The following introduces the specific situation of using AGL lock warehouse:

The seller uses the store lock warehouse authority to create a shipment, and the same size ASIN will be fixedly assigned to the same warehouse, and will not be randomly assigned or split to multiple FBA warehouses.

Take the US site as an example: standard size ASIN is fixedly assigned to US West ONT8, large size ASIN is fixedly assigned to US West SBD3, special large size ASIN is fixedly assigned to MDW8, and special category (such as clothing, shoes, accessories) ASIN is fixedly assigned to US West ONT6.

When creating a shipment, you can choose whether to lock the warehouse. The locked shipment needs to be delivered by AGL; it should be noted that if the locked shipment is handed over to a third party for delivery, it is a violation.

In terms of AGL timeliness, Amazon’s logistics manager said that it currently takes about 7 natural days for air freight to enter the warehouse stably, including pick-up; the sea freight timeliness is unstable, about 40 days. However, sellers who have recently used the AGL service have reported that booking should be made two to three weeks in advance.

In addition, when sending goods with batteries through AGL, it is necessary to fill in the “Battery Goods Warehouse Entry Guarantee Letter” (including battery capacity and battery power information), as well as the product information form (including the name of the goods declared for customs, product code, detailed list of goods ingredients, and description of the use of the goods).
