In recent years, successful cross-border transactions on eBay have become the focus of sellers, and the sellers often encounter the problem of seller authentication during cross-border transactions. Because it is necessary to pass eBay’s cross-border seller authentication before trading activities can be carried out. Currently, new registered users in China can conduct seller authentication on the eBay foreign trade portal.

step01 Log in to the eBay homepage, click the “Register” hyperlink in the homepage navigation bar, and register an eBay account according to the prompts.

step02 Select China as the registration area. Fill in the seller’s relevant information truthfully and effectively to ensure the authenticity and security of the transaction. After the registration information is filled in, accept the agreement.

step03 Perform credit card authentication or mobile phone authentication. Credit card authentication: eBay requires sellers to provide a valid international credit card in order to verify the seller’s true identity. After entering the credit card authentication page, sellers need to carefully fill in the relevant information of their credit card. If there is no international credit card for the time being, another option is to authenticate through mobile phone. Select China SMS mobile phone text message authentication, and the applicable mobile phone numbers are limited to China Mobile and China Unicom. The number after the seller’s authentication corresponds to the eBay account.

step04 Activate the account. eBay will automatically send an email to the seller’s registered email address. The seller checks the registration confirmation email and clicks the activation account hyperlink in the email to confirm the email address.

At this point, the eBay cross-border seller certification is completed. After the certification is successful, you can start online trading activities.
