The so-called listing is what we call uploading products. For sellers who build their own product pages, Amazon provides two ways to upload products: single upload and batch upload. The following is a special method for uploading products individually. However, it is still a reminder that sellers must comply with Amazon’s sales policy and must not upload products suspected of infringement, counterfeiting, or inferior products. Products in certain categories need to be pre-reviewed before they are put on the shelves.
(1) Enter the seller’s backend, move the mouse to “INVENTORY”, and click “Add a Product”.
(2) On the “Add a Product” page, click “Create a new project listing”.
Sellers must correctly select the category to which the product belongs and click the “Select” button. If you are unable to confirm which category the product belongs to, you can enter keywords in the “Search for your product’s category” at the top and click “Find category” to search for the category to which the product belongs.
(3) Enter the basic information of the uploaded product. Fields marked with “*” are required.
When uploading products on the Amazon platform, you need to fill in a lot of information, such as “Vital Info”, “Var-iations”, “Offer”, “Images”, “Description”, “Keywords”, and “More Details”.
(4) The required content of the “Vital Info” column is as follows
(5) The “Variations” column is not a required item.
(6) Fill in the information of the “Offer” column. The required items are as follows.
“Quantity”: Inventory quantity, try to fill in truthfully to avoid the embarrassing situation of having no goods to ship after the buyer places an order in the future.
“Condition”: Product status, select “New” for new products.
“Your price”: The selling price of the product.
Related to price, there is also “Sale” “Price” is the promotional price of the product. It is not a mandatory field. Sellers can set it when promoting the product, and they must set the promotion start time. During the promotion period, the product is sold at the promotional price, and “Your price” is deleted with a gray sub-line.
(7) “Images”: Upload pictures.
The first picture is the main picture, which must be a pure white background. The others are auxiliary pictures, and up to 8 auxiliary pictures can be uploaded. Pictures have a strong visual impact on buyers, and sellers need to ensure the quality of the pictures. When uploading product pictures for the first time, the pictures will not be uploaded successfully immediately. You need to wait until the product information is filled in and click the “Save and finish” button before the pictures can be uploaded successfully.
(8) In the “Description” column, you need to fill in the product’s characteristics and attractions to increase buyers’ understanding of the product.
(9) “Keywords” column, optional
In some categories, it is also called “Search Terms”. You can enter keywords related to the product in this column, but be careful not to make any duplication or spelling errors. It is also not recommended to deliberately write keywords unrelated to the product in order to get a better search ranking for hot-selling products.
(10) “More Details” column, optional, sellers can fill it out at their option.
You can further supplement the product parameters, such as “Weight”.
After filling in all the information, click “Save and finish” to complete the product upload. Due to the system reasons of the Amazon platform, it often takes about 5 minutes for the product to be displayed in the background.
In fact, the process of uploading a single product is not complicated. In order to improve efficiency, sellers can also organize the product’s graphic details in advance. After uploading, sellers can edit or optimize it if necessary.
