When applying, you need to provide a business license and organization code, and pay different fees depending on the type of enterprise.
(3) If you are not a factory or manufacturer, you are not eligible to apply for your own UPC code. At present, it is best to let a supplier with whom you have a good relationship apply for it. After the application is approved, you can authorize it for use. You can pay him a certain usage fee every year, and at the same time use the authorization to complain to competitors who use your UPC code. In fact, if you want to do well on Amazon, you either have your own brand and factory, or have your own brand and then cooperate with the factory, or get a sales authorization letter from the brand on a certain site (such as the US site or the Japanese site, preferably an exclusive authorization).
(4) If you are using someone else’s UPC code, or if the UPC code belongs to you but you use the UPC code of product A to upload product B in order to create more products, you must transform in time. If you have to buy UPC codes, it is best not to buy them through informal channels, and do not use UPC codes generated by automatic generators. Amazon now has a strict review of UPC or EAN codes starting with 5 or 05. You must not buy such UPC or EAN codes.
