Alibaba Data Manager: In-depth analysis of “My Words” and “My Products”

Alibaba Data Manager provides two important tools: “My Words” and “My Products” to help users better understand and optimize their products and keyword strategies.

“My Word”: Keyword Effect Analysis

After logging in to the data manager, enter the “My Words” function. You can choose to view the performance of keywords in weekly or monthly time dimensions. The “my words” mentioned here include two categories: one is the product keywords you have set or the words that have participated in the foreign trade through train promotion; the other is the words that have not been set, but the buyers use these Words find the vocabulary for your product.

For easy viewing, you can query in the following two ways:

  • Directly enter the words of interest: In this way, you can directly view the effects of specific keywords, including but not limited to exposure, clicks, and the promotion of foreign trade through trains;
  • li>

  • Sort by performance: Sort by click-through rate, exposure, or click volume to discover which words bring the best results to your product and further determine whether there are potential market opportunities.

After identifying the keywords that need attention, the next step is how to evaluate their performance and find the direction for optimization. This usually involves a few key steps:

  • Evaluate exposure: First check whether those words with higher exposure are related to your main products. For under-exposed words, you can increase their visibility by improving their rankings, such as setting them as showcase products, participating in through-train promotions, or optimizing product details pages;
  • Analyze click-through rates: Words with low click-through rates require special attention to the optimization of product information, such as image quality, attribute descriptions, and transaction conditions. In addition, you can also refer to information on how other suppliers on the platform display similar products in order to learn and improve;
  • Consider market popularity and competition level: Even if some words are not currently performing well, if they have high market popularity, it indicates that there is still potential for growth. At this time, you can improve the ranking or Improve product descriptions to attract more clicks;
  • Consistency check: Finally, make sure there is consistency between the keywords you have set and the words that actually attract buyers. For those words that have not been set but can bring traffic, you should evaluate their suitability before making a decision.

“My Products”: Performance data layering

The “My Products” function starts from another perspective and performs effect analysis based on the data of the user’s own products. It divides indicators such as exposure, clicks, click-through rate and feedback into three levels: high, medium and low, and displays them in the form of a histogram.

With this tool, users can quickly identify four different types of product conditions:

  • High exposure, low clicks: These products receive a lot of exposure but fail to convert into enough clicks;
  • High clicks and low exposure: On the contrary, these products may have a good click-through rate for some reason, but the overall exposure is not enough;
  • High clicks and low feedback: It means that although the product can attract clicks, there will be less subsequent feedback (such as inquiries);
  • Have feedback but low exposure: Although this type of product has a certain amount of positive feedback, it still lacks exposure.

The above information can help sellers more accurately locate the problem and take corresponding measures to optimize it, thereby improving overall performance.
