The gene of a big exhibition

Exhibitions in some industries naturally have the gene of a big exhibition. The construction machinery and automobile industries are two particularly prominent industries. The Munich International Exhibition for Construction Machinery, Building Materials Machinery, Mining Machinery, Engineering Vehicles and Equipment (bauma) is an evergreen in the “Top 100 Trade Shows” and has been ranked first in the world’s trade show rankings for 12 years. In the 2019 “Top 100 Trade Shows”, four of the top 10 exhibitions are construction machinery exhibitions. In addition to bauma, there are the Paris International Construction Machinery Exhibition (INWERMAT), the Las Vegas Construction Machinery Exhibition (CONEXPO-CON/AGG) and the China International Construction Machinery, Construction Machinery, Engineering Vehicles and Equipment Exhibition (bauma China), which ranked 4th, 5th and 8th respectively. In addition, the Verona International Construction Machinery and Earthmoving Equipment Exhibition (SAMOTER), the China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery Exhibition (BICES) and the Moscow International Construction and Engineering Machinery Exhibition (bauma CTT RUSSIA) are also on the list.

The automotive sector also has the same magic. The Frankfurt International Auto Parts and Aftermarket Service Exhibition (Automechanika) ranks 9th, followed by the United States (Las Vegas) International Auto Parts Exhibition (AAPEX), Italy Bologna International Car Care, Tire and Repair Exhibition (AUTOPRO-MOTEC) and Shanghai International Auto Parts, Repair Testing and Diagnostic Equipment and Service Products Exhibition (Au-tomechanika Shanghai). The three major Chinese auto shows in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou are all on the list. The German (Hannover) International Commercial Vehicles Show (IAA), the Frankfurt International Motor Expo (IAA) and the Dusseldorf International RV Show (CARAVAN SALON DSSELDORF) are all on the list. In the entire list, automotive concept exhibitions account for 10%.
