Such fast logistics and delivery services give Flipkart an advantage in the competition with its peers and win the favor of consumers.
It should be noted that this logistics system is only applicable to goods shipped in India, not cross-border logistics.
Return and Exchange Policy
Regarding the return policy, we are more familiar with Taobao’s “7-day no-reason return and exchange” policy. Although returns and exchanges are allowed, consumers need to pay the shipping fee themselves.
However, Amazon, which unconditionally stands on the side of buyers, allows buyers to return or exchange products without paying any fees, and has won the favor of countless consumers.
In order to win the hearts of buyers, Flipkart also adopted a policy that customers can return or exchange products without paying any additional fees. However, the Indian market is still in a stage of rapid development and continuous improvement, and it is still necessary to regulate consumer behavior to prevent bad consumers from taking advantage of loopholes and thus undermining the enthusiasm of sellers.
The Flipkart platform has the following two regulations on returns:
(1) If the buyer returns the product due to personal reasons such as “suddenly not wanting it” or “ordering the wrong size/color”, Flipkart will not charge the seller for return shipping.
(2) If the buyer returns the product due to quality issues with the seller’s product, the platform will deduct the shipping costs incurred by the return from the seller’s account.
