The basic settings of the Shopify backend include a lot of content. There is a lot of content here, and it is very important. The basic settings are set in the “Settings” selection.
General Settings
First, log in to the Shopify backend and click the “Settings” – “General Settings” button. These pictures are on a page.
(1) Store details.
Store name: The store name is the name of your independent Shopify site. If you do not upload the logo, the store name will appear instead of the logo. If you upload a logo, the logo will overlay the store name and be displayed to website visitors. Generally speaking, you need to upload the logo of your independent website separately, so just write the first-level domain name you purchased here.
Store contact email: Important official information from Shopify will be sent to this email address. For example, if your product is infringing, Shopify officials will send an email to this mailbox. It is recommended that you use your usual personal email address.
Sender email: When you send an email to your customer, the default sender email is this email. In addition, if a customer contacts you through the “Contact Us” page on your website, the email will also be sent to this mailbox. Therefore, it is recommended that this mailbox use a corporate mailbox (the mailbox suffix is consistent with the domain name).
Store industry: There are many industries listed, just choose according to the industry to which your product belongs.
Legal company name: If. If it is empty, then just fill in the prefix of the first-level domain name you purchased.
Tel: A real phone number, and you can contact the owner of the Shopify independent station.
Street. Unit, room number, etc., city, postal code: fill in English or Chinese Pinyin, also need true and valid information
Country/Region: Do not modify it easily
( 3) Standards and formats.
Time zone: The time zone is usually set to the time zone of your address or the time zone of the target market. It should be noted that the time zone must also be set when advertising on Facebook. Once the time zone is set, it cannot be modified. Therefore, if you mainly rely on Facebook to drive traffic, then I recommend that you adjust the time zone of the Shopify backend to be consistent with the time zone of the Facebook ad. This way, the time point of the Shopify backend data will be consistent with the Facebook ad data. Consistent.
Unit system: The Shopify system provides two measurement units: one is the British unit pound (Ib) / ounce (oz), and the other is the metric unit kilogram (kg) / gram ( g). If the sales target market is North America, it is recommended to select “Imperial”, which is the pound (Ib) / ounce (oz) they are used to.
Edit order ID format (optional): Just use the default format.
(4) Store currency.
It is recommended to set the currency according to the target market of sales. For example, if the target market of sales is the United States, then the currency here. Just select US dollars, if the sales target market is Japan, then select Japanese yen, etc.
