Shop opening process:
(1) Register an account
Sellers registered on the Jumia official website must be companies located in Nigeria, so the official website does not currently support Chinese sellers. To register, Chinese sellers can only register through Jumia’s investment team in China, that is, the investment manager. After contacting the investment manager, he will ask the seller to fill out a resident form. After completing the registration, it usually takes about two working days for the seller to receive an account opening email from Jumia Seller Center. Sellers follow the instructions in the email, set a password, log in to the Jumia Seller Center, and complete the Jumia registration and account opening.
(2) Sign a Jumia business cooperation contract
After the store is successfully registered, if you want to sell on the Jumia platform, you need to sign a business cooperation contract with the platform official. There are 27 contracts in total. page, the investment manager will send it to the seller via email
1. Contract signing requirements
The contract only has three pages that need to be printed out, signed and stamped, which are: Page 1, Page 3 page and page 27 (the last page). The contract cannot contain any watermarks. The order of contract page numbers cannot be changed.
2. Contract signing process
Step 1: Print or scan the three pages of the contract that need to be signed, sign and seal them, and then take photos or scans (the photos must be clear and The content is only the contract).
Step 2: Convert the photos of the three-page contract to PDF format, and insert the page numbers of the original contract and the new contract in the order of page numbers. They cannot be repeated and the order cannot be disordered.
Step 3: Follow the email requirements and send the new contract to the investment manager’s email.
Sellers need to manually sign their store name in the horizontal line in the box. Please note that only one store name can be filled in a contract.
Sellers need to fill in the company name and address in the “name/address” column of item 14. Then, stamp the company seal in the box on the lower right side of item 15. Please note that the company name and address can only be filled in in English or Pinyin.
Sellers need to fill in their name and position in the “Name” and “Title” columns in the box position in the picture, and the final “Sellerssignature” column must be signed by the legal person. You can fill in Chinese here.
(3) Sign a Jumia logistics contract
After signing the cooperation contract, the seller also needs to sign a logistics contract with Jumia. Different from the cooperation contract above, the logistics contract is all in Chinese. There is nothing that requires special attention. The seller can just sign according to the terms of the contract.
