1. The buyer submits a “return application”;
2. The seller can view the return application and the reason for the return on the seller platform to manage the order return;
3. According to the “Amazon Product Return Policy”, the seller handles the return application in “Order”-“Manage Returns” on the seller platform;
4. If the application is closed, Amazon will send an email notification to the buyer, including the reason why the seller closed the application;
5. If the return application is approved, the system will send the seller’s return address to the buyer by email, and the seller is waiting for the buyer’s return;
6. When the seller receives the return, the seller should operate the order refund on the “Manage Returns” or “Manage Orders” page.
FBA orders, buyers want to return the goods, how to handle this order?
1. The buyer has not received the goods
1) If your goods have not been officially sent out at the freight forwarder, you can pick up the goods if possible and refund the buyer in full.
2) If the goods have been sent out and cannot be intercepted, it is recommended to negotiate with the buyer and explain that the goods have been sent out. After the buyer receives the goods, he will decide whether to stop the transportation of the goods.
3) If the buyer still disagrees, it needs to be dealt with immediately. You can negotiate with the buyer based on your product cost, only refund part of the payment, and give the goods to the buyer for free to reduce losses.
4) If the buyer disagrees again, if the value of the goods is not high, it is recommended to refund the full amount and send the goods directly to the buyer for comments.
5) If the value of the goods is high, with a price of almost one or two hundred dollars, it is recommended to follow the normal procedure and let the buyer refuse to accept the goods. Then the freight will be borne by the logistics, or the seller can send it to other warehouses in your local area.
FBA return fee
If a customer requests a return of an FBA order on Amazon, general category sellers do not need to pay any more fees (FBA staff will pick up the returned parts at home for free). But there are some exceptions:
1. Apparel
2. Watches
3. Jewelry
4. Shoes, Handbags & Sunglasses
5. Luggage
That is to say, if the product you are required to return belongs to one of these five categories, Amazon needs to charge the seller a return fee when you return the product, which is the same as Order Handling + Pick & Pack + Weight Handling at the time.
Generally speaking, whether it is a partial refund or a full refund, Amazon will deduct a 20% commission and return 80% of the commission to the seller.
