Exquisite product listings are the basis for attracting buyers to browse products and facilitate order transactions. Therefore, for product sales, in addition to ensuring product quality, editing exquisite and complete product listings is also crucial.

Creating product listings is the first step in launching product sales. This process includes setting product details, setting product sales details, and setting product logistics policies. The following takes women’s dresses as an example to introduce the entire process of listing products.

Part I: Setting product details

Step01 Log in to your eBay account and click the “Sell” hyperlink on the homepage.

Step02 Click the “Browse categories” hyperlink to select the category to which the product belongs. If you are not sure about the product category, you can directly enter the product information in the text box and then create the Listing page. The system will give a recommended product category.

Step03 Enter the Create Listing page and set product details, including Listing title, category UPC, product status and other information.

Step04 Upload product pictures and click the “Add photos” button.

Step05 Select the pictures you want to upload in the pop-up dialog box, and then click the “Open” button.

Step 06 The pictures are uploaded. The first picture is the main picture, and “Main photo” will be displayed below the picture. Continue to upload pictures and click the “Add photos” hyperlink to continue adding pictures.

Step07 Set product attributes, including the brand, size, style, design features, materials, colors and other information of the product.

Click the “Addyourown item specific” hyperlink, and sellers can create custom product attributes. Step Write the product description. Click the “Standard” tab to directly enter the product description, as shown in the figure below; click the “HTML” tab to use HTML code to write a more complex product description.

Part 2: Set the details of product sales

Step01 Selling by auction: Click the drop-down button next to “Format” and select “Auction style”. The system will jump to the auction listing page and set the online time, price, quantity and other information.

Step02 Selling by fixed price: Click the drop-down button next to “Format” and select “Fixed style”. The system will jump to the fixed price listing page and set the online time, price, quantity and other information.

Step03 Set whether to make a donation and the payment method. Select the checkbox in front of “Donate a percentage of your sale to the charity of your choice and we’ll give you a credit on basic selling fees for solditemms” to set the appropriate donation ratio. Select the checkbox in front of “PayPal” to use PayPal as the main payment method. Enter the email address in the text box behind “Email address for receiving payment”.

Step04 Set sales tax and return and exchange policies, as shown below. If the seller accepts domestic returns, select the checkbox in front of “Domestic returns accepted” and set the return period and the party paying the return freight. The seller can choose whether to accept domestic exchanges. If accepted, select the checkbox in front of “Replacement or exchange available”. If the seller accepts international returns, select the checkbox in front of “International returns accepted” and set the return period and the party paying the return freight. The seller can choose whether to accept international exchanges. If accepted, select the checkbox in front of “Replacement or exchange available”.

Part 3: Set logistics policies

Step01 Set domestic and international transportation methods, including logistics methods, delivery time and other information.

Step 02 Set package size restrictions, non-transportation locations and item locations and other information.

Part 4: Listing Products

After setting all the information including product details, product sales details, product logistics policy, etc. and checking that they are correct, click the “List item” button to complete the product listing.
