?Basic Fulfillment Terms of FBA

FBA has set up the “Basic Fulfillment” function to serve orders sold on other websites. These orders are not completed on the Amazon website, but may be generated when visiting the seller’s website or shopping on eBay. FBA’s Basic Fulfillment is responsible for transferring the shipping costs to the seller. Generally speaking, different types of products require different transportation methods, and therefore different shipping costs.

When charging fees, sellers can choose three express delivery methods: ordinary express (5-7 days), 2-day delivery and next-day delivery.

In addition, Basic Fulfillment also charges packaging fees and weighing fees. Sellers can apply for Basic Fulfillment in the following ways:

(1) Sellers apply directly to Basic Fulfillment through the web page or by uploading files. Sellers who use this method need to send the buyer’s information (such as address, name, phone number and other instructions) to Amazon.

(2) Buyers can send requests in XML format on the seller’s website, but the premise is that the seller’s website supports the FBA system.

?FAB Transportation

(1) Basic things sellers need to do

★ Confirm whether the actual quantity of the product is consistent with the online order quantity.

★ Labels should be printed with a laser printer, and the paper size should be consistent with the type of product. For example, the label size of the item should follow the format of 1×25/8, and the label size of the package should follow the format of 3-1/3 “x4”. In addition, make sure that the information on the label is clear and easy to read.

★ When making labels, you can refer to the PDF file provided by Amazon.

★ Make sure each item has a corresponding label.

★ Attach the container label under the carrier label.

★ Cooperate with a carrier that can understand the details of the cargo transportation, and track the cargo in real time through the tracking number provided by the carrier.

(2) Operations that sellers cannot perform

Sellers must attach great importance to the role of labels and ensure that each product is labeled accordingly. Only when the seller has his own hybrid interconnected inventory (Stickersless Commingled Inventory) can he not label the products. In addition, sellers need to pay attention to the following points:

★ Do not use inkjet printers to print product or packaging labels.

★ Do not stick labels to the interface of the package, as this will easily damage the labels and make it difficult to scan the barcode.

★ Do not transport overweight goods. Goods over 50 pounds must be labeled to indicate the weight.

★ Do not transport products with different waybills together.

★ Do not make the actual shipping volume inconsistent with the order quantity. It cannot be more or less than the quantity reported online.

★ Do not keep the previous delivery note on the packaging box to avoid confusion and cause unnecessary trouble.

?FBA Import and Export

(1) Import

Amazon can act as an agent for a large number of products for sellers, but all products that need to be acted for must be declared and shipped by the sellers themselves. Amazon does not act as the consignee of the products and does not provide the final address.

When the seller’s goods are delivered to Amazon’s logistics center, Amazon will also conduct a review and ship the qualified products to other countries. The sellers are also responsible for the transportation to ensure that the products can be sold directly overseas. However, there are also the following special circumstances:

★The seller’s single sales amount will be restricted by Amazon, and the seller is responsible for the transportation and customs declaration of the products.

★Products shipped overseas cannot be returned for any reason.

★If there is a problem with the delivery address of products shipped overseas, Amazon will not be responsible.

★The cost of shipping goods to overseas is borne by the seller and calculated independently. Amazon will not provide corresponding assistance.

(2) Export

Except for the United States, citizens of other countries cannot purchase media products on Amazon, but they can apply to Amazon and only after the application is approved can the buyer purchase. The fact that a seller’s website supports the FBA system does not mean that the seller has to list his or her products one by one on the Amazon international website (Amazon.ca/Amazon.co.uk) or other websites.

Sellers that support the FBA system can sell media products such as books, music, DVDs, and video recordings to countries other than Canada. If the buyer is an overseas resident and wants to purchase the seller’s products through FBA, then all media products sold by the seller on the website can be purchased by overseas buyers.

Sellers outsource the sales, transportation, and after-sales service of the products to Amazon without having to pay additional fees to Amazon because all fees are included in the order. If the seller wants to sell products overseas, he or she needs to send a signature to Amazon to prove that all the application information is accurate and that the exported products do not contain items that are expressly prohibited from export by the country. At the same time, when the seller does not want to authorize Amazon to act as an agent, he or she can withdraw at any time.
