1. Operational procedures

(1) China Post Large Parcel can only use the China Post format customs declaration form.

(2) The name and address of the consignee must be filled in in English.

(3) The contents, quantity, weight and value on the China Post Large Parcel Customs Declaration Form must be filled in by the customer.

(4) In the signature area of the China Post Large Parcel Customs Declaration Form, please sign your Chinese name.

(5) The packaging must be intact and not easily damaged. Except for the address label, try not to put other irrelevant marks on the outside of the packaging bag. For fragile items, it is best to put a fragile mark on the outer packaging and affix the address label in the middle of the front of the parcel.

(6) Deliver to the post office and sort by country (region).

(7) The post office arranges the warehouse, arranges the plane, and sends it to various postal distribution centers around the world. The post offices of various countries (regions) will then conduct a second and third level distribution, sorting by city and street address, and finally deliver the package to the customer.

2. Inquiry and compensation

You can check the relevant information of the package on the official website of China Post, and track the package flow throughout the process; if the package is not delivered one month after it is sent, you can ask the post office to inquire. The normal time for the post office to reply is 2 to 6 months; if the package is lost, you can apply for compensation from China Post. China Post will pay compensation according to the declared value, but the maximum compensation shall not exceed RMB 300.

3. Delivery method

Make an appointment to pick up the goods or the seller will deliver them to the post office.

4. Advantages and disadvantages

(1) Advantages

First, low cost. The price is slightly lower than EMS, and like EMS, it does not calculate the volume weight, there is no remote surcharge, and there is no fuel fee. Compared with other transportation methods (such as EMS, DHL, UPS, FedEx, TNT, etc.), China Post’s air parcel service has a better price advantage. This delivery method can minimize costs and improve price competitiveness.

Second, it is relatively convenient to send, as long as there is a post office.

Third, it is convenient and fast, using a single waybill, which is printed uniformly by the company, reducing the trouble of customers.

Fourth, it provides package tracking and inquiry services. Relevant information can be found on the official website of China Post on the day the package leaves, and it can be tracked throughout the entire process.

(2) Disadvantages

Compared to small packages weighed in grams, large packages are charged by kilograms. Compared with other commercial express delivery, there is a weight limit.

5. Scope of application

Applicable to goods weighing 2 to 30 kilograms.
