Sellers must enter the waybill number in the seller center within 48 hours after the customer places an order, and update the order status to “Ready to Ship” in time, otherwise the Lazada backend system is likely to cancel the order according to the platform agreement, and the seller may also be punished. If the cumulative number is too many, there may be a risk of having the account suspended. Lazada will send emails every day to remind sellers to process orders, so sellers should check their mailboxes in time.

Don’t ship orders that have been canceled by the Lazada system. Because when the order is canceled, even if the seller successfully ships the goods to the consumer, Lazada will not pay the seller.

If the seller finds that the order number he filled in is incorrect, he must log in to the designated website (https://lazadaformstack.com/forms/change tn) within 48 hours after the order is updated to “Ready to Ship”, and enter the relevant information according to the prompts to change the waybill number.

When the payment method is displayed as “No Payment”, the seller needs to check whether the consumer has used a method similar to a voucher. If this is the case, the seller can ship the goods. Otherwise, do not ship the goods.

The package sent by the seller must not only contain the product, but also a formal invoice, and the waybill must be affixed to the outside of the package.

Try to avoid the cancellation of orders due to untimely inventory updates as much as possible, which can reduce many unnecessary losses for merchants.

Important customs regulations

There are as many as 11 countries in Southeast Asia. Although Lazada’s business scope does not currently cover the entire Southeast Asian market, judging from its development momentum, this is just a matter of time. The large differences in customs regulations in different countries in these Southeast Asian markets are an industry pain point that major sellers have to face. In addition, since the countries are relatively scattered, sellers need to pay special attention to the format of the order address when filling in the order.

The products sent by the seller to the customer must comply with the customs regulations of the target country.

In order to avoid the situation where the goods are seized by the customs, the seller needs to declare the goods in the package to the customs truthfully.

When filling in the declared value, fill it in according to the actual value of the goods. If the value of the goods sold to the corresponding country is higher than the standard regulations (for example: Singapore stipulates 400 Singapore dollars, Malaysia is 500 Malaysian ringgits, Thailand is 1500 Thai iron, Indonesia is 40 US dollars, and the Philippines is 20 US dollars), the seller must comply with the DDP (delivery after duty) trade regulations. Of course, the above value standards will change with the adjustments of the corresponding countries, and sellers need to pay attention to the relevant information released by the Lazada platform at any time.

Keep abreast of the adjustments of tariffs in various countries.
