Tax Policy
As between the parties, you will be responsible for collecting and paying all of your Taxes, except where: (i) Amazon automatically calculates, collects, or remits Taxes on your behalf in accordance with applicable law (see the Marketplace Tax FAQ for more information); or (ii) Amazon expressly agrees to collect Taxes or other transaction-based fees on your behalf (in connection with the tax calculation service Amazon provides to you for use). All fees payable by you to Amazon under this Agreement will be free of any deductions or withholdings (including, without limitation, cross-border withholding taxes) as required by law. If any payment is subject to any such deductions or withholdings, you will pay any additional fees necessary so that the net amount received by Amazon equals the amount due under this Agreement.
Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, you agree that Amazon has no obligation to determine whether Taxes are applicable and that Amazon is not responsible for collecting, reporting, or remitting any Taxes arising from any Transaction. However, if a taxing authority requires us to pay any of your Taxes, you will promptly reimburse us for the amounts remitted. If products are shipped from outside of your selected country, the recipient of the products may be required to pay sales, GST, use, excise, import, VAT or other taxes/duties assessed upon delivery. Such taxes or duties, if any, are in addition to the proceeds of the sale received by Amazon.
