The steps for vertically deep digging and selecting products by category are as follows:
(1) Open the platform homepage, find the category to which the store product belongs in the Categories list, point the mouse to the category, and the secondary categories of the category will be displayed in the window on the right side of the page.
(2) In the secondary categories, click one of the categories you are interested in, and many products that sell well in this category will be displayed.
(3) Click the “Orders” button to view the transaction volume ranking of products in this category.
(4) Open the historical sales record and click the “Sort by latest” button to update the sales record to the latest, as shown in Figure 6-22. View the total sales volume of the past three days, calculate the average daily sales volume to estimate the sales volume for a month. Multiply the estimated monthly sales volume by the product’s selling price to get the estimated monthly sales volume of the product, which can be used to determine whether such products need to be developed. If developed, the price should be more advantageous than this product, or the product should be different (such as a better function).
