(1) Email advertising
Email advertising is highly targeted, low-cost, and has no restrictions on advertising content. It can send specific advertisements to specific individuals, which is beyond the reach of other online advertising methods.
(2) Contest and promotion advertising
Contest and promotion advertising is also known as “sponsored advertising”. Advertisers can work with websites to organize online contests or online promotion activities that they believe the public is interested in. Sponsored advertising has various forms, giving advertisers more choices in addition to traditional online advertising.
(3) Soft advertising
The combination of advertising and content can be said to be a significant feature of soft advertising. On the surface, they look more like content on a web page than advertising. In traditional print media, such advertisements are generally clearly marked, but on web pages there are usually no clear boundaries.
(4) Interstitial advertising
Interstitial advertising is also known as “pop-up advertising”. When a visitor requests to log in to a web page, an advertisement or pop-up advertising window is inserted into the page. Similar to TV advertising, it interrupts the normal broadcast of a program and forces the public to watch it. Interstitial ads come in a variety of sizes, from full screen to small windows, and with varying degrees of interactivity, ranging from static ads to fully dynamic ads. Viewers can avoid viewing ads by closing the window (of course, this is impossible with TV ads), but they appear without any warning and will definitely be seen by viewers.
(5) Rich media ads
Rich media ads are a new generation of online advertising that integrates video, audio, animated images, and has two-way information communication and user interaction functions, and can be played without the need for the audience to install any plug-ins. It has the characteristics of large capacity and interactivity, and has a larger creative space, which can better showcase the brand image. The high browse rate, high click-through rate, and high conversion rate it brings make it an advertising form that cannot be missed in online marketing.
(6) Other types of ads
Other types of ads mainly include classified ads, video ads, large-scale serial ads, couplet ads, tear-off ads, etc.
