Amazon FBA label printing tips and precautions

As a cross-border e-commerce seller, using Amazon FBA (Amazon Fulfillment Service) can provide convenient warehousing and logistics solutions. However, when using this service, it is crucial to correctly print and attach Amazon FBA labels, which not only ensures smooth shipment of products, but also ensures high-quality service.

Preparation

Before you start printing Amazon FBA labels, you first need to make the following preparations:

  • Obtain FBA label: Log in to Amazon Seller Center, select the products to be shipped, and generate an FBA label. Amazon generates a unique FBA tag for each product.
  • Printing device: Prepare a reliable printer and make sure the printer is properly connected to the computer or device.
  • Label paper: Use appropriate label paper to ensure clear printing and pasting of labels. It is recommended to use label paper officially recommended by Amazon.

Steps to print Amazon FBA labels

Method 1

  1. Essential Tools

    • One computer.
    • A label printer that can be connected to a computer and can print normally (the Zebra printer GK888t used here to print e-mail labels).
    • The label paper closest to the default size in Amazon’s backend is 50mmx30mm self-adhesive label paper.
    • PDF editor.
  2. Steps

    • Insert the 50mmx30mm self-adhesive label paper into the printer, adjust the position, and confirm that the printer can print normally.
    • Download the ASIN labels that need to be shipped by FBA in the background, and set the number of prints to “1”. The purpose is to print one first to see if it is qualified. If it can be used normally, then print all the remaining ASIN labels at once. .
    • Open the PDF editor, create a new 50mmx30mm label template, click the “Print” button, and the “Print” dialog box will pop up.
    • Click the “Preferences” button to pop up the “Printing Preferences” dialog box, set “Stocks” to “50×30”, and then click the “OK” button to directly print labels of 50mmx30mm size.

Method 2

  1. Download the FBA label file: In the Amazon Seller Center, find the product that needs to be shipped and select the “Print FBA Label” option. Download the FBA label file and save it to your computer.
  2. Open label file: Find the saved FBA label file and double-click to open it. Make sure your computer has a suitable PDF reader installed so that the labels can be displayed and printed correctly.
  3. Print settings: In the PDF reader, click the “Print” option. In the print settings, select the correct printer and adjust the page layout and size to fit the label stock.
  4. Print Label: Click the “Print” button to send the label to the printer. Make sure the printer is working properly and adjust print settings, such as print quantity and print quality, as needed.
  5. Check Printing Results: Once the label is printed, check the printing results. Make sure labels are legible and barcodes and text information are complete.
  6. Cut the label: Use scissors or a label cutting tool to cut out the label. Make sure the cut edges are neat for easy application to product packaging.
  7. Adhere the label: Paste the label at the appropriate location on the product packaging. Make sure the label is securely attached to avoid blocking barcodes and important information.

Notes

  • Use appropriate label paper: Choose label paper officially recommended by Amazon to ensure the quality and sticking effect of the label.
  • Print quality and barcode scanning: Ensure labels print clearly and barcodes are easy to scan. Low-quality printing or blurred barcodes can result in unrecognition or delayed processing.
  • Strictly comply with Amazon requirements: Accurately print and attach FBA labels to ensure compliance with Amazon’s labeling requirements. Incorrect label printing may cause shipment delays or returns.

In addition, if the Amazon FBA label size is too small, it can be adjusted accordingly according to the size of the package. If you use a thermal printer to print, you need to download the relevant FBA product labels, then slice them with PS, pull them directly into a Word document, and then print them. When printing labels, it is recommended to use carbon ribbon and coated paper, because if the thermal label is left for too long or gets damp, the words on the label may fade.

By correctly printing Amazon FBA labels, you can provide quality service, meet customer expectations, and achieve cross-border e-commerce success.
