Now more and more sellers are entering Amazon’s cross-border e-commerce platform, and at the same time, Amazon’s rules are becoming more and more perfect. Sellers need to know Amazon’s prohibited items in advance before entering to avoid being unknowingly deducted points by Amazon or even having their store closed. So, what are the prohibited items on Amazon?
1. This product is not intended for the United States. It was determined that it was not sold in the United States and could not be sold on Amazon, which generally can only sell to their designated distribution products in the United States, including imported textbooks, non-regional DVDs, and video tapes in PAL format.
2. Illegal and potentially illegal products. Products sold on Amazon must comply with all laws of the platform and cannot violate any rules, otherwise they will be punished. Because sellers are legally responsible for their actions and transactions, sellers must be aware of any legal parameters for sellers selling on Amazon, including selling personal products outside the United States.
3. Offensive products. Amazon has the right to determine whether the product listings a seller is selling are appropriate.
4. Involving nudity and pornography. Generally speaking, promotion of the naked human body through verbal descriptions or images is prohibited. Including pornography, pornographic books, restricted movies and pornographic materials, magazines, etc. are prohibited.
5. Products invade personal privacy. The Amazon platform explicitly prohibits sellers from selling products that violate personal privacy to protect buyers’ information security.
6. Advertising. The use of this product exclusively or primarily for advertising purposes on portals and private websites or to provide contact information to non-Amazon sponsors is specifically prohibited.
7. This product can be used for digital download, including encoding, and can be used to access content on other websites or platforms.
In order to crack down on prohibited products, Amazon encourages sellers to contact the platform to report products that violate Amazon policies or some operating rules. Select “Report a violation of our rules” to report a rule violation and all related information.
Listing any of the above products that violate Amazon’s policies at the time of sale may result in Amazon canceling the seller’s product listing, limiting shelf privileges, and prohibiting the seller from selling privileges.
