Amazon seller account registration includes setting up a seller agreement, seller information, billing/deposits, tax information, product information, identity verification, etc. The following takes the US site as an example to introduce the specific steps for self-registration of an Amazon seller account.

1. Create a new user

Step01 Log in to the Amazon website, drag the scroll bar to the bottom of the page, and click the “SellonAmazon” (sell on Amazon) hyperlink.

Step02 Enter the Amazon service center page and click the “Startselling” button.

Step03 Enter the account login page and click “Create your Amazon account” Step 2. Enter the account creation page, set the account name, email address and password, and click the “Next Amazon Account) button.

2. Set up the seller agreement

Step01 Enter the account settings page, Amazon supports Chinese pages, click the language setting drop-down button at the bottom of the page, and select “Chinese” in the drop-down list.

Step02 The system jumps to the Chinese interface and set the account information according to the page prompts. Fill in the name in the text under the name (must be filled in in English). If it is a business, enter the name of the company. If it is an individual, enter the name of the individual. Then select the check box under the seller agreement, agree to Amazon’s terms, and finally click “Download business name and add address” button

3. Set seller information

Step01 Fill in the address, seller name, and contact information. If the seller really does not know how to spell the address in English. , you can use pinyin to fill in the seller name. Enter the seller name for display on the Amazon platform (buyers can see it). The store URL is optional. If the seller also opens a store on other e-commerce platforms, you can fill in the URL of the store. There is no need to fill it in. The seller can choose phone verification or text message verification. Select SMS verification here, select the radio button in front of “SMS” (text message), select the Chinese area code “+86” in the “Mobile phone number” drop-down list box, and Enter your mobile phone number, select the text message display language as “Chinese” in the “Send me an SMS now” drop-down list box, and finally click the “Send me an SMS now” button.

Note: Verification is available. 3 opportunities. First, it is best to fill in the mobile phone number that has not been used on the Amazon platform to avoid account association; secondly, if you choose the Call method, the page will display the PIN and 4 digits, and the call will be connected. Then enter it (if you cannot receive the call, please change the text message). When the system verification error occurs, please try to verify in other languages ​​or verify by text message. If it fails three times, you will have to wait for 1 hour before re-verification.

Step 02 The system pops up a dialog box, enter the verification code received via SMS in the text box, and then click the “Verify” button

Step 03 The system prompts that the verification is successful, click “Next”. button.

4. Set billing/deposit information

Enter the billing/deposit information page, set your own payment method and deposit method, fill in the relevant information according to the page prompts, and confirm it is correct. Then click the “Next” button.

5. Tax audit

The US tax audit is a self-service audit process. Sellers need to enter their identity information to confirm whether their account is required. Pay relevant U.S. taxes. In order to satisfy the U.S. tax authorities as efficiently as possible, sellers enter all required information during the review process.

Step01 Tax identity verification, confirm the non-U.S. identity of the company or individual. If you do not have U.S. identity, you must select “No” in “Are you an American for U.S. tax purposes” and select ” No” radio button and click the “Save and Continue” button.

Step02 Select the nature of the beneficiary – company or individual:

Beneficial owner type: Select according to the nature of the registered entity, such as “individual” or “company” Organization location: must Select “China”

Organization name: It should be expressed in English. If you don’t know English spelling, you can use Pinyin. Permanent address: Fill in English according to actual situation. If the office space is shared with someone else, and the other party has also registered an Amazon account, you may consider changing the address to avoid account association.

Step 03 If your account is a company, please confirm your company’s mailing address. The mailing address can be consistent with the permanent address. Select the radio button next to “Same address as permanent residence.”

Step04 American verification: If your account is an individual, after confirming your mailing address, please confirm that you do not meet any of them. If you don’t have long-term experience in the United States, don’t choose anything. Finally click the “Save and Continue” button.

Step05 Preview the W-8BEN content and confirm whether the information about the account beneficiary in Part I is accurate. If you need to make changes, you can return to the previous page and update the information. If the information is correct after checking, click the “Save and continue” button.

Step 06 Provide electronic signature. There are two ways to obtain electronic signatures, including “Agree to provide electronic signature” and Amazon + eBay: “Send Email”. It is recommended that sellers choose “Agree to provide electronic signature”, which is easier to operate. Select the radio button in front of “I agree to provide my electronic signature” and click the “Submit” button.

Notes

If you choose the second method, a reminder will appear in the system to inform you that if you agree to provide an electronic signature, your information will take effect immediately. If you do not If you agree to provide an electronic signature, your information will only be effective 7 to 20 working days after receiving the form you mailed. Therefore, it is not recommended to send the form by email unless absolutely necessary.

Step07 After selecting “Agree to provide electronic signature”, some terms that need to be signed will pop up. Just select the checkbox in front of all terms.

Step08 Re-enter the company name or personal name, email address, country and other information, and click the “Submit” button after confirming that it is correct.

Step9 The system generates the W-8 form, click the “Exit Investigation” button to end the review.

Step10 Fill in the product information truthfully according to your own sales requirements. After completing the filling, click the “Next” button.

6. Set product information

Select the sales category. You can select multiple items. After selecting, click the “Start Free Trial” button.

7. Seller identity verification

Identity verification is a step that sellers must perform when opening a store on Amazon. Currently, Amazon’s North American site moves “seller identity verification” from after the account is registered, to the account registration process in advance.

Step01 Select the country/region where the company is located and the seller type.

The country/region where the company is located: The company seller chooses according to the place where the business license is issued. Individual sellers choose according to the place where their ID card is issued.

If it is a business registration, you must select “I am a company seller” and submit the business

Select “China” in the drop-down list box of the country/region where the company is located, and select “I I am a company seller with a license. I manage this account on behalf of a company or enterprise and I have a business license” radio button, and then click the “Next” button.

Step02 Fill in the legal person and company information. Corporate sellers submit the legal person

and other information shown on the business license on this page. All information uses Chinese Pinyin. Select the radio button in front of “Legal Representative”, fill in other relevant information according to the prompts, and finally click the “Submit” button.

For companies in mainland China, choose “Legal Representative”, and for companies in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, China, choose “Director or Representative”.

Unified social credit code: Submit the enterprise number shown on the business license. That is, Mainland China: Unified Social Credit Code/Registration Number; Taiwan, China: Unified Company Number; Hong Kong, China: Certificate Number on the Business Registration Ordinance.

Step03) Upload the document and click the “Upload” button to upload the corresponding document. Click the “Upload Passport” button.

Step04 The system jumps to the “Upload Instructions” dialog box, confirm that the documents you submitted meet the requirements, and then click the “Continue” button. After all documents have been uploaded, click “Submit” button.

The Step05 page prompts that the submission is completed. After the identity verification information is submitted, the seller can log in to the Amazon seller backend within two working days. See the identity verification results.

step06 If the seller’s information cannot be verified, the seller will receive the prompt “The information provided needs to be corrected” and the seller can resubmit the verification information. All information is consistent with the documentation, and the documentation meets all requirements for Amazon identity verification. A seller has three opportunities to submit identity verification information and documentation.

If the seller upgrades from a personal selling plan to a professional selling plan. plan, also needs to complete the seller qualification review. Amazon will review the application for sales plan upgrade, including collecting and reviewing more information from the seller who applies for upgrade.

When Amazon receives the seller’s sales plan. After the upgrade application, the seller will receive an email within 72 hours and guide the seller to submit the corresponding documents for review (seller qualification review). The review process starts after the seller submits the qualification documents and lasts for 3 working days. During the review period, the seller is now available.
