Similarly, if you want to succeed on the Lazada platform, you must follow the relevant rules of the platform. This section will sort out the main rules of the Lazada platform. These rules include: account-related rules, content rules, intellectual property rules, and prohibition and restriction rules.

Account related rules

1. Seller account rules

Once the seller account is terminated by Lazada, the seller will not be allowed to open a new store on the Lazada platform and Conducting transactions: Sellers are not allowed to apply for multiple stores with the same product type; sellers are not allowed to copy the decoration, products and content of other sellers’ stores, and are not allowed to engage in behavior that makes it difficult for buyers to identify the true source of products.

Sellers are advised to be honest when conducting transactions on the Lazada platform. The platform will not tolerate fraudulent and deceptive behavior by sellers. Once a seller is found to be committing fraud or deception, the Lazada platform will take immediate action to maintain a trustworthy, reliable and healthy e-commerce business environment.

If a seller violates the seller account rules, he or she will be deducted up to 48 points. A deduction of 48 points will cause the seller’s account to be immediately closed.

If a seller receives a notice of points deduction and wants to appeal, he or she can appeal to the ASC-Growth Center.

2. Store naming policy

The seller’s store name is very important as the seller’s identity on the Lazada platform. The store name can reflect the store’s offline name, such as store signboards, official websites, and other names well-known to consumers. A good store name will make it easier for consumers to find it.

1) Format

The store name should consist of words or letters and no special symbols. Available in English and the language of the country where the merchant is located.

2) What the store name should not contain

A. Existing LazMall store name.

B. Registered brand name.

C. Vulgar, sensitive and defamatory content.

D. Content that is sexually suggestive, contains profane local language, or is considered to reflect pedophilia, bestiality, or sexual violence.

E. Content with hints of violence and terrorist activities.

F. Content that already has copyright and trademark rights.

G. Existing e-commerce platform vocabulary, such as Lazada, LazMall, LazGlobal, Taobao Collections, Alibaba, etc.

H. Only the category name.

I. Only numbers.

J. Only the country name. (If you really need to add the country name, you can add it after the store name and enclose it in parentheses.)

K. If it is not a flagship store, official store, or exclusive agent, please avoid using these words. If you need to use it, please provide the corresponding proof.

L. There is only one word, and it is a general vocabulary, such as shop, WhatsApp, etc.

M. Text with comparative meaning.

N. Contains prohibited product names.

O. Contains phone number, website link, and “.com”.

3) Suggestions on the length of store names

In order to make store names easier to search, it is recommended that the length of store names be limited to 6 words or 50 letters.

3. Number of visible products for new sellers

All new sellers registered in 2019 and later can upload up to 500 visible products if the net order volume within 90 days is less than 30 commodity.
