Details determine success or failure when doing Amazon. As we all know, FBA’s advantages in helping sellers manage inventory, traffic, search rankings, shopping carts and supply chain optimization are obvious. However, only if the seller can clearly understand FBA policies and master the dynamics and changes of FBA can the risk of rejection be reduced, storage costs and expenses be saved, and warehousing can be carried out smoothly in the upcoming peak season. Today, let’s take a look at the packaging requirements for FBA warehousing:
The warehousing packaging details are as follows:
●Use six-sided hard packaging boxes with complete lids.
●Each pallet requires four labels, one in the center on each side.
●If using old shipping boxes, remove any old shipping labels or other markings.
●Use special strong glue.
●After packaging the box, shake it gently. When shaking, the contents of the box must not move.
●Carton-packed goods can only contain one PO order. If a carton contains goods in multiple PO orders, you must ensure that a carton can only hold the goods in 5 PO orders at most.
●The size of the carton should be selected to ensure the minimum space in the carton after the goods are placed in the carton. Space utilization can also be maximized by packaging multiple goods in one carton (in the absence of damage to the goods).
●Cartons must not be tied with packing tape, elastic bands, or tape. Large staples or nylon fiber straps are not allowed as they pose a safety hazard to warehouse colleagues.
●Multiple cartons weighing more than 45kg must be placed on one pallet (one for each item sold).
●Cartons (such as furniture) sold individually weigh more than 45 kilograms and need to be shipped on pallets. Pallet-sized boxes (also known as “Gaylords”) are not allowed.
●Do not use point-of-sale containers typically used to display merchandise (e.g., open-front boxes or boxes without lids).
In addition, the packaging materials of the goods should not be random. It is recommended to use the following packaging materials:
●Bubble film packaging
●Full paper (preferably heavy kraft paper)
●Inflatable pillow
< p>●Polyethylene foam sheets
Do not use the following packaging materials:
● Various types of small packaging foam, including foam strips.
●Crinkled paper packaging
●Shredded paper
●Foam plastic
