Amazon sellers are aware that on the Amazon platform, some categories require classification review. Why do we need to conduct classification review? Which categories require classification review?

Amazon attaches great importance to some categories and hopes to enable buyers to obtain high-quality consumption experience through strict control of these categories. To this end, Amazon will screen out some high-quality sellers who have certain advantages and abide by platform rules to sell products in this category through classification review to meet the needs of buyers. Classification review is required in the following situations.

(1) Position of brand name. When the brand name is above the product title, classification review is required; if the category of the product does not require classification review, the brand name of the product should be displayed below the title, and there will be two letters “By” before the title.

(2) Similar products are sold together. Search on the front page of Amazon to see if similar products can be sold together. If not, it means that the categories in which these products are located also need to be reviewed before they can be sold.

(3) By checking the Amazon backend, you can intuitively see the categories that need classification review.

(4) Refer to the categories listed for classification review by each sub-site.

Sometimes sellers may find that some categories need to be reviewed but have not been reviewed, but they can be found in the categories of products uploaded in the background. The reason is that among the products that need to be reviewed, there are a few sub-categories that do not require classification review and are open categories.
