Cross-border e-commerce companies can advertise public pages, groups, and events on Facebook to attract more potential customers. Let’s start creating a Facebook ad.

1. Create a new ad campaign

A campaign can be considered the foundation of an ad. When you decide to run an ad, you need to create an ad campaign first. First, select a goal for the ad, that is, determine the effect you want the ad to achieve, which can be brand awareness, traffic, engagement, app installation, video views, potential customer development, message interaction, etc. If a cross-border e-commerce company wants to increase traffic to its website and product exposure, it is recommended to use “traffic” as the ad goal.

2. Set up an ad account

Set up ad account information, including account country, currency, and time zone. All ad billing and reporting data in the set ad account will use this currency and time zone settings. If you need to modify the settings later, you must create a new ad account.

3. Create an ad group

(1) Fill in the ad group name

The ad group is used to specify how the ad is delivered. First fill in the ad group name and select the location where you want to increase traffic.

(2) Create an ad audience

At the ad group level, you can create a custom audience for your ad and display it to specific contacts, website visitors, or app users. You can also use Facebook’s targeting options to create an ad audience by selecting region, gender, age, and other criteria to determine the audience. At the same time, the right side will display data such as the size of the audience, the estimated number of users covered, and the expected daily results.

If you want to further segment the audience, you can add “segmented targeting” information. You can refine the audience of the ad by demographic data, user behavior, interests, etc., or refer to the “suggestions” prompted by the system to add segmented targeting conditions.

(3) Create a budget and schedule

Next, create a budget and set a schedule for the ad. The budget can be a single-day budget or a total budget; the schedule can be a long-term run starting from the current day, or it can be set to a period of time.

4. Create an ad

An ad is what the consumer or target audience will see. When creating an ad, you can design ad creatives, including pictures, videos, text, and call-to-action buttons.

(1) Select the ad format

First, you need to select the ad format. You can also select “Add full-screen experience”.

(2) Add information

Add text, pictures, titles, descriptions, target page URLs, and associated URLs for the “View more” button. When adding ad information, the ad preview will be displayed synchronously in the right column, allowing us to view and modify it in time.

(3) Select the payment method

Click the “Confirm” button, select the payment method on the new page, and the ad is created.
