After the buyer purchases the goods, the seller must pack and box the goods before shipping. Different from the packaging requirements of domestic e-commerce, cross-border e-commerce generally requires that the package be as light as possible while protecting the items in the package in order to save freight. At the same time, because cross-border e-commerce involves customs clearance issues, the choice of package should be simple and plain.
(i) Single-piece packaging
Before packing the goods, you should choose an outer package of appropriate size. If the outer package contains multiple items, each item needs to be placed separately, and sufficient cushioning materials such as bubble film, inflatable bags, etc. should be prepared for each item. Do not fill it with old newspapers or plastic bags. The outer package should be integrated with the protective material, cushioning material and items. There should be no friction, collision and extrusion between items (when there are multiple items in one outer package) or between the items and the inner wall of the outer package. It should be noted that the granular cushioning material may move during transportation, so when using granular materials, they must be compacted.
(II) Packaging
When packing goods, choose appropriate-sized packaging boxes and packaging fillers according to the size, weight and transportation characteristics of the goods. Try to avoid damage to the goods caused by insufficient packaging and waste of packaging materials caused by excessive packaging. When packing, use new and sturdy boxes as much as possible, and use cushioning materials to fill the gaps so that the boxes do not bulge. If you use old boxes to pack goods, you should remove the previous labels and ensure that the old boxes are strong enough.
(III) Packaging
Use wide tape (more than 6 cm wide) or sealing tape to pack. It is not advisable to use glass glue. The sealing tape can tighten the box by crossing it. For goods with placement requirements, during packaging, storage and transportation, it must be ensured that the goods are placed correctly according to the arrow marks on the outer packaging, and sideways and upside down placement must be avoided. The center of gravity of the package and its geometric center should be unified or relatively close to each other, so as to prevent the loss of goods due to starting, turning and braking during transportation.
