For domestic sellers, Shopee store types can be divided into two categories. The first category is the cross-border store listed in the domestic business license, and the second category is the local store purchased in the market. There are many differences between cross-border stores and local stores. But I will not repeat them here, just talk about the difference in logistics.
1. Cross-border store logistics.
The Shopee platform has built five official warehouses in China (originally 6, the Shenzhen warehouse was merged into the Dongguan warehouse this year), located in Yiwu, Quanzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Dongguan.
The logistics of cross-border stores is easy to understand. After the customer places an order in this store, we will send the goods to any official warehouse of Haixia in China. The official warehouse will do the rest for us. The whole process, such as the import and export customs clearance of goods, we will send the goods to any official warehouse after the goods are disassembled and assembled.
The process of sending our goods to the official warehouse is called the first-leg logistics, and the process of goods from the domestic official warehouse to the customer’s hands is called the last-leg logistics.
After opening the order, what specific operations does the seller need to do?
The first step: print the international delivery note.
The second step: pack the goods.
The third step, delivery: send the double-packed goods to the nearest official warehouse and scan them into the warehouse.
How about it, isn’t it very simple?
2. Local store logistics
There is a difference between local stores operating Shopee in China and cross-border stores, especially in the logistics link, because strictly speaking, local stores operating in China are more or less non-compliant. Therefore, in order to prevent the platform from discovering local operations that do not comply with regulations, our domestic sellers cannot go through Shopee’s official warehouse when shipping, so we can directly find a freight forwarder to do local logistics.
The process is also very simple. After the order is issued, just send the goods directly to the freight forwarder, who can also help us sign the order, pack, ship, etc.
Naturally, whether it is a cross-border store or a local store, we can find the corresponding service provider in each link of the entire supply chain to improve work efficiency and save labor costs.
