Nowadays, people are more and more aware of obtaining invoices after consumption. Even on e-commerce platforms, they will apply for invoices for their purchases. Invoices are the original basis for buyers to purchase goods on the one hand, and on the other hand, they are also a kind of supervision behavior of buyers on the normal business activities of sellers. After the reform of the tax system, the query method and the invoice issuance method have gradually changed to a convenient and fast mode.

On mainstream e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, self-operated goods are almost always invoiced by default. Whether it is a paper invoice sent with self-operated goods or sent separately after arrival, or an electronic invoice, it is formal and valid. Buyers can use the invoice for all subsequent financial activities. So if the price of the goods purchased by the buyer is after participating in the seller’s promotional activities, does the invoice amount show the original price of the goods or the discounted price? Here, it needs to be emphasized to buyers that they get an invoice for the actual amount paid. In addition, buyers may also use gift cards or other coupons to pay for goods, and no invoice will be issued, because the pre-order coupons of gift cards have been issued with formal invoices when the cards are issued and sold, and no duplicate invoices will be issued. The default setting for invoicing on the Amazon platform is electronic invoices, and buyers need to download the steps themselves. However, if an order is returned, the electronic invoice will be immediately invalidated, and the column for downloading the electronic invoice in the order will no longer provide download services. There are still many third-party franchised stores that set the system to not issue invoices by default, and buyers need to identify the difference to avoid causing trouble for themselves later.

There are two types of invoices, one is ordinary invoices and the other is value-added tax invoices. The difference between the two is still related to the size of the store. The functions of value-added tax invoices are more comprehensive. With the support of policies, some of them can help companies deduct taxes and fees. Therefore, corporate buyers are more inclined to obtain value-added tax invoices. For invoices issued by individual buyers in their own names, ordinary invoices can meet the corresponding needs.

In the entire commercial market, the same invoice for goods is the right way for stores to develop. Some stores use tricks to avoid taxes, which are not long-lasting and will eventually be eliminated by the market.
