Shopee recently announced the launch of Set Target ROAS, a new feature that can be used to automatically select keywords for product search ads. The launch of this feature provides merchants with more options and flexibility to help better manage and optimize search ads to achieve higher advertising returns and sales results. Next, let’s learn how to set the target ROAS feature and how to monitor its performance.

1. Set Target ROAS Feature

Set a target ROAS for new product search ads:

Enter the Shopee ads interface and select Create Product Search Ads.

After completing the basic settings and selecting products, you can use the Set Target ROAS feature. Please make sure the “Auto Selection Mode” switch is turned on.

Set a target ROAS for an existing search ad:

Enter from the Shopee ads interface and select the search ad product details interface.

Make sure the “Auto Selection Mode” switch is turned on.

For products that already have historical advertising data, it is recommended to refer to the historical ROAS performance to set the ROAS target value.

2. Monitor the performance of setting ROAS targets

During the initial stage, you may see some performance fluctuations as the system is learning to optimize for your ROAS target value. It is recommended not to edit the value during this period (at least 14 days) to allow the system to complete the optimization. Once performance is stable, it is recommended to monitor performance and update ROAS targets monthly for best optimization practices.

3. Notes

ROAS targets are not guaranteed and should vary depending on product advertising campaigns.

For sellers who have been whitelisted before, the settings will be updated from October 16, 2023.

This feature is currently in whitelist testing mode and is not yet available to all users.

By setting the target ROAS feature, merchants can manage and optimize search ads more effectively to achieve higher advertising returns and sales results. This new feature provides merchants with more choices and flexibility to adjust their advertising strategies according to their needs and goals.
